Description of 1972 Ford F-250

1972 Ford F250 Ranger XLT FE Big Block V8. PB. 4-speed. AC. Odometer shows 78. 50. unknown if correct. Nice truck. runs and drives well for an antique. Good body. though showing some rust. Overall. would make a nice daily driver. and is an excellent restoration candidate. The truck was recently licensed and used occasionally for chores and pleasure. I have only driven it for a few miles. where I ran it through the gears. engaged the hubs and transfer case. with no apparent major mechanical problems. Steering and brakes seem to be fine. though exact condition is unknown The engine is an FE series big block 360/390. The VIN calls out the 360 2V as the original engine. The engine in the truck has an S-code cast iron and intake and Holley 4 barrel carb. I do not know if the engine is the original engine. It runs good and pulls strong. Does not overheat. The body was painted sometime in the past and is showing wear. though still has some shine and luster. The pictures show the condition. There is rust. however it is localized. and most areas are solid. The truck will require restoration if you want a show truck. For a respectable 10 footer finish. some rust and dent repair. followed by general body work and paint should do the trick. Interior is fair. with the seat needing reupholstering. The AC is not working though the components are present. Heater works. Manual steering. drum brakes Turn signal stem on steering column needs repair. Signals work but detent/switch is broken Tires are 305/70/16 Cooper Discover and have excellent tread. Exhaust is present. but rough. Clear Utah title. Truck is sold “as is. where is”.
