Description of 1973 Ford F-250 XLT

For sale is one good-looking Ford F250. This truck is has one of the best color combos with white on brown. This is the XLT Ranger with a 360 V8 and the rare 4 speed manual transmission! It has a solid straight axle 4x4 with factory Dana 60s front and rear, with factory 4.10 gearing. This bad boy also comes rolling on military Humvee tires Goodyear MT 37s with 75% tread and two full-sized spares on matching wheels. The truck is 99% rust free as it is an original California truck, it was built in San Jose and ordered to a dealership in Los Angeles. I believe in being a full transparency seller so I will make every effort to describe the truck accurately. Here we go:

Paint and body: 9/10 Condition. The truck is garaged 24/7 and the paint looks great. The paint is new, kept clean, and has no clear coat issues or swirls. There are only a few spots where the body work detail could have been better and the window felts are old, however this is still an amazing paint job. The bumpers are straight and lights all work. The tires are military 37s the Goodyear MT, the wheels are the original equipment and have been painted to match. The truck is rust free on the body or under carriage! Check out the pictures. Overall this truck has the look, that perfect combo of vintage cool.

Interior: 5/10 Condition. The seats and carpet are in great shape, no seat rips at all. The interior is original from 1973, so that is the positive way to see it. The headlights work, the window cranks work, the gas gauge works (only has the in cab tank), the door handles work, the seat is nice, just about everything else is busted though. The truck has the AC option but the motor is built so the equipment is missing. Basically the interior needs polishing. I didn't mind though, after all it is meant to be a 4x4 truck.

Engine and Transmission: 9/10 Condition. This where the truck gets exciting. The engine and transmission are reliable, the truck always runs well and the clutch shifts smooth. The 4x4 works and has 2hi 4hi and 4lo. The engine does leak oil from the back of the oil pan, about five drops after running. An easy and cheap fix or just keep a drop pan under it, everything still runs fine. The engine is a 360 V8 with an Edelbrock Performer carb, Offenhouser intake manifold, Accel coil, exhaust headers and dual x piped exhaust. The oil is kept fresh, the carb and timing are tuned perfect. This thing is a beast and you actually need to make an effort to not peel out, even with the 37s tires!
