1957 Ford Thunderbird E Code presented by; GARRETT CLASSICS1865 McGee Ln, Ste FLewisville, TX 75077Call Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 We are very happy to have this beautiful 57 "E-Bird" in our inventory. 1957 would be the last year for the "Baby Bird". It was the largest production year for these sporty little cars which gave the Chevy Corvette a run for it's money when first introduced in 1955. This restoration was completed in 2016. The majority of the work was done by Manuel Law in the north Dallas area. Mr. Law worked for Amos Minter many years ago. Refinished in "Flame Red' and "Colonial White", it is a real eye catcher. This car shows extremely well. It looks great with either top or without a top, attracting attention wherever it goes. The hood release as well as the emergency brake handle and some other parts, were Cadmium plated. The bright work on this car is excellent.
The head liner in the hard top is very nice.
The dash is in excellent condition as well.
Both door panels show very well.
The black soft top is folded behind this flap behind the seat back.
The new soft top is in great condition and the back window is clear.
The 4 way seat is operational, as well as the power windows. You will see this in our video.
There were 21,380 Thunderbirds produced in 1957, of these, only 1499 were E codes with dual carburetors and 270 hp.
The exhaust manifolds were ceramic coated.
The 312 ci engine which is believed to be original, was rebuilt during restoration.
The Holley carburetors are numbered and both match.
The Vin# is visible on the frame.
There is a spare tire and jack.
A custom car cover is also included.
An all new stainless exhaust system was installed during restoration.
The undercarriage is solid. We found no rust or sign of Bondo on the body.
Besides the Kelsey Hayes wheels that come on the car, there is a full set of factory steel wheels which have been powder coated to match the car, as well as the Ford hubcaps.
