Wow, where do we start here!....... First and foremost I am listing this car for my uncle who is not computer savvy. I know this car well, however specific questions may take time to retrieve from him should they arise. This car has spent its life in the best of hands to say the least. The car retains as far as we know all of its original parts excluding normal tune up items. Its original pitch black paint shines as new!, it has a couple nicks here and there on both driver and passenger door and can be easy to miss. I play no games with eBay and want to disclose everything good or bad. Back to the outside of this rolling piece of art, its stainless and trim are beautiful. They appear as new and not of their vintage, there is a small bump in the grill from something over the time but hampers in no way it too can also be seen in photos. The date codes on body panels are all visible and true. All body lines flow as they should, doors open and close like a new car. The original dealer water decal still mostly remains atop its deck lid. Wheel house molding were added as a appearance item somewhere over time. The jambs of the doors capture how clean and pure this car is, showing in detail how untouched its latches and hardware remain un-flawed or touched by a tool. The tail lenses and parking lenses are clear and show no ill way whatsoever. Opening the shiny door leads you into a time capsule of a brilliant white, chrome and black interior! what a knock out in this stunning combo, not many to be seen this way. Pictures will show how nice this interior is, few typical worn areas on the leather seats but nothing ripped, missing or overly alarming that makes me list a issue. The headliner looks as if it was installed today! all chrome and brite work are gorgeous. Back seat looks never to be sat in! Panels all show well above great condition. Both the drivers and passenger door panels appear to have a wear panel in place, we have researched and were not able top find this as a option but they are there. The glass retains all its carlite etchings again showing its originality. Many birds from this era have trunk issues both inside and at the deck lid surround, make no mistake the pictures again hold true on how perfect this car is in those areas. The factory mat along with spare tire, jack, lug wrench etc are still intact and in place. Powering this is beauty is the 390 FE series motor factory equipped with 4 barrel carburetor. What a piece of machinery it is! Pictures tell no tales once again as you can clearly see in detail how correct and untouched this car has remained! Clear down the the original hard to find yellow top coil!. Power steering and power brakes make it a pleasure to travel along your open road trip. No need to worry about those tires they remain 90% full of tread life and are completed by a spinner style factory cap. It will be a all eyes on you adventure! The underside like the topside holds true to its form, it has been factory coated and is in impeccable shape for something that rolls above mother earth just inches away! Cob webs included!....... The original exhaust with mufflers and resonators are factory to the car, the mufflers have been wrapped at some point with a repair material and will need replacement in the future. Not wanting to mislead anyone on this cars purebred has kept us from doing so. In closing I'd like to give some back story to this car, this vehicle was purchased by a gentlemen from New York out of a North Jersey dealer. Ownership was for his wife and was garaged from day one as a weekend car. Upon the husbands death and some 14 years later, the cars ownership went to the late husbands friend in North Jersey and remained for 28 years. Being in his 80's it was time to move the car onto someone else as storage was becoming a issue. My uncle purchased this car 12 years ago and has cared for it like the past owners, always covered in a climate controlled garage and running down the road for a park trip or local car show. To say this is a time capsule or a piece of art from days ago is short to say the least. This is a time period where power and body styles was coming to a end. In May 18, 2013 this car was brought to a event at Ace Ford motor co. a Woodbury NJ based dealership. Ace is one of the oldest Ford dealers to date, it was the 100th Anniversary of the dealer and hosted by Ford Motor company. Ford was on hand to pick from all the select vehicles there, and was chosen class winner for the originality being correct in every way. Please ask any and all questions. Keep in mind this is a original car, not something that has been apart or made up of 20 others....... this is one of a few that most likely remain . I have sold cars, boats, trucks, motorcycles, parts, etc from eBay since the beginning of eBay's time! Before pictures were even in the mix, and you sold on reputation! I play no games with buying and selling. I want to make your experience good as well as mine. See my feedback it shows how I take this serious. I have pointed out anything that I felt should be addressed, please look at pictures and do your research. again ask away with any questions or concerns. Inspection is welcome via buyer or a representative. Good luck and happy bidding On Mar-28-18 at 04:22:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello all, several things I want to address. One the owners manual that is with the car apparently isn't for this bird. I have had a couple emails saying this is a convertible Thunderbird by the body number etc..... This is what was with the car from 12 years ago when purchased by my uncle. I don't want to mislead in anyway!......Secondly I listed this with the option to increase the picture size, I've checked twice and don't know why they wont expand for viewing? Maybe because I used the full 24 photos available or something. One other repeat question I have had is drive ability after purchase, clearly as seen on the odometer it hasn't went far in its life's journeys but we can't see any issues with driving this car anywhere. Everything operates as it should.
