Hello.... Up for auction is a 1979 Ford Custom F150. I used to drive this daily until 2015. I parked it fully intending to restore it, but life got in the way. My mother is now ill and need money to help take care of her. Here are the issues I am aware of. I left old fuel in her and she developed a few rust holes in the fuel tank. I used a fuel tank patch repair kit and so far it has worked. Of course this is just a temporary fix. The truck starts and drives, but she has no power like she used to. Not sure if its just gunk in the carb from the ethanol gasoline or what. When I bought this in 2011,it only had 94,000 miles on it. All the oil changes have had Lucas oil stabilizer mixed in with good quality oil. It ran great until I let her sit for a few years. I would drive it on occasion when I had something to move, but hasn't been driven more than a few miles since summer 2017. When I moved it today, I noticed the motor mount on the passenger side is cracked. This is the long bed model. Bed has a few rust holes but pretty solid. It has the straight 6 engine with an automatic transmission. Transmission was drained and flushed a few years ago. Also used Lucas stuff in it with the new fluid. Driver side floor board has a rust hole about 10 inches in diameter. A smaller one on the passenger side. It is missing both door panels. I removed the dash to fix and check the vents. I forgot to replace the plastic trim around the speedometer. It is on the dash. I replaced the factory carburetor with a remanufactured single barrel carb. a few years ago. I have receipts of all work done to this pickup. I replaced the glovebox with a new OEM one. This is an excellent truck to restore because it has a good body. I'm starting the auction low because I need to sell this soon. Toolbox is included but I lost the keys during the last move. Thank you for looking!
