Description of 1970 Ford F-100 Long Bed |
I am selling this great truck for a family friend who has had it in her family since new. It is her father's truck and was his daily driver before it was put into storage in her garage. It is a numbers matching, 1970 F-100, with manual four speed transmission mated to a 360 cubic inch original engine. The interior has been professionally re-done! This includes a new dash pad, headliner, door panels and upholstery. The tires were newly installed just before it was stored about ten years ago. It has a new carburetor because the original was stolen ten years ago and from the look of the engine compartment, it has a new fuel pump and spark plug wires. The mileage is unknown to a degree but I can put you in contact with the 90 year old owner and he can explain further. I do know that the odometer stopped working at 55,000 miles. Doing the math, and knowing that he only drove it to work and back, the mileage has been calculated at about 85,000 actual miles. It has been repainted in the past and has a very solid body with only two noticeable rust/bondo area that I can find in the right and left lower fenders. This truck has been sitting in a garage in Wheat Ridge, Colorado for the past ten years and though it has been started and ran periodically, the owner has not fired it up in recent years. It will probably need the carburetor gone through and the gas tank drained though the carburetor might be just fine since it was essentially new when stored. Brakes, transmission, glass, electrical, and all systems are functional as far as we know. This is a great barn find with tons of potential, or a great daily driver once you wake the engine back up from it's hibernation! It has a clean Colorado title from original owner as well! |
