Description of 1951 Ford F-100 |
Up for auction is a solid 1951 Ford F-100 pickup. This was originally a father/son project but tragically the son passed away and I am helping his father sell the truck. Currently the truck hasa 351 Clevelandin it with a C-4 automatic. I was told the motor only had athousand or so miles on it before it was parked a year ago in its current position. The truck has not run since then but the owner is supremely confident it runs great. The original 300 cubic inch straight six has a fresh rebuild and is included in the sale. Unfortunately I don't have any specs on the engine rebuilds but the Father keeps telling howawesome that Cleveland sounds! The first thing they did was rebuild the original motor, but after a couple hundred miles, they decided they wanted more power and swapped the six for the 351 Cleveland.Overall the truck is very solid with minimal rust and much of its originality retained. Lots of potential for a Hot Rod, Rat Rod, or an original restoration. The wheels and tires are good, brakes, steering and suspension completely functional. A minimal amount of time and a couple of bucks and this thing is on the road.I am not a super knowledgeable car guybut will do my best to answer any questions. Feel free to set up a time with me to check the truck out for yourself. Don't need a deposit, just full payment within five days of the close of the auction. Thanks for looking! Turns out it is not the original motor but a 1975 300ci six cyl. from a F-150that has been bored 60 over with a hot cam and an Offenhauser 4bbl intake manifold. I apologize for the mistake. I should have done the research first instead of just relying on what I was told. So, the original motor does not come with the truck. Instead, a completely rebuilt 300 ci six with an additional C-4 transmissionform 1975 is also included with the sale. Again, sorry for the confusion but honesty is key.
