Description of 1979 Ford F-250 Custom longbed. |
I have owned this truck since 1988. 27 years straight. The truck had 90. 00 miles on it when I bought it and at 95. 00 the engine was completely rebuilt. There are approximately 51. 00 miles on the new engine which is in excellent condition. Since 1988 I have had this truck serviced at one garage only. and have the complete history of paperwork on the vehicle. including paperwork from the previous (original) owner. I highly recommend anyone who might be interested to contact the garage who services and repairs this truck. for a complete rundown on how I have looked after it. and the work they have done over the years. Any time anything broke or needed work I had it done to keep everything working to factory spec. That company is 7 to 7 Auto in San Diego and Fred is the owner and person to contact. Their number is 858 549-0272. The truck passes smog tests and is currently smogged and registered until November of this year. I had a Lowjack alarm system installed for $1500 a couple of years ago and have two fobs for that. If the truck is started and driven without a fob in the vehicle. the police track and call me within about 15 minutes and it can be tracked by GPS. I changed the rims to chrome. and have tires on it in excellent condition with plenty of tread left. I added air conditioning. a 6 Cd player and a Sony AM/FM radio which has a removable faceplate for security. It also has a remote control. The truck has a fairly new carpet in the cab with charcoal and grey upholstery. The only problems with the truck. are a couple of places in the bed where the spray painted bedliner has cracked and has peeled in a couple of spots. There is also a small area next to the antenna where the paint has cracked and a piece popped off exposing the body underneath. All of these issues are easily remedied. After I had the truck painted a few years ago and the rims. tires and interior redone the vehicle has not been used for anything but the odd piece of furniture hauling for neighbors! The original intent in my buying this truck was to haul material for work once or twice a month in a trailer. not in the bed which is in excellent shape and not dented or beaten up. The reason I am selling it after all these years is that my wife and I have sold our home and have moved into a downtown condo so we no longer have a place to park it. I have always had it covered with a custom made full cover which covers the wheels to the ground. This will be an excellent buy for someone who appreciates the classic look of good reliable old Ford pickups!!Feel free to text or call me. Roy at 858 663-8890 anytime to discuss the truck. |
