Description of 1964 Ford Ranchero

This is a numbers matching factory 260 V8 with a 4 speed on the floor car. Manual steering and manual brakes. I own a restoration shop and this car came to us after he purchased this car on E Bay from California. It was not represented truthfully and had many electrical issues, engine ran poorly, and the brakes were poor. We have performed the following repairs/updates. Rebuilt the factory 260 engine Opened up the trans and checked it Rebuild heater box with new heater core, seals, cables, bezel, and blower motor New blower motor switch Adjusted all brakes, new rear wheel cyls rebuilt master cyl New radiator New 4 BBL intake with new Holley carb New water pump New fuel pump New belts and hoses Rebuilt Distributor New gages Clutch linkage has been gone through with all new bushings/parts New turn signal switch All wiring has been checked and is in 100% working order New dash bezel New glove box New side windows (old windows were scratched) New bumpers Brand new tires and wheels New steering wheel New brake light switch Car has the headers that came with it in good shape Exhaust system in good shape (Dual) New torque boxes (done by us correctly) New floors (done by us correctly) Car drives nice, tracks straight, stops well. Car was never driven by customer because it would not idle due to wiped out cam. He did not request a rebuilt clutch because he did not know if it was good. After rebuilt engine was installed and clutch linkage rebuilt car does have a slight shudder at take off in 1st gear. Not bad, but it is there. Clutch did look good when it was out or we would have replaced it. Flywheel looked good as well. The rest of the story is the customers wife refused to pay for the final bill so he sent us the title completely signed over. Clear title in my name is in hand. Stupid move on their part, but it is what it is. Paint was done in California before customer bought it. Honestly and good driver quality paint job. It needs to be wet sanded and buffed. body is straight. Hem flanges are in excellent shape. Under body is super solid. Check must clear before car is released. Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Sorry guys...I had all of the items above in a list form. It did not post that way. I cannot change it now that there is a bidder. I can only add to the listing. Rather than cancel the auction and relist it here is the above info the correct way. Much easier to read....

I have been asked is there any filler on the car. We have an electronic Gage that reads paint depth and filler. There is no filler on the body with the exception of the driver Qtr panel in Front of the wheel well. It is showing an eighth of on inch of filler, location is not all the way to down to the rocker and its not all the way rearward to the wheel well. Which means it must be a dent that was fixed. Wheel lip is clean with no rust. Odometer shows 55,000 miles but there is no way to prove that. In Michigan old cars are marked over 100,000 miles when you transfer the title unless you can document the mileage. It has a factory type radio in the dash that is not hooked up any speakers. Customer was going to work on that himself so it was not addressed. It is unknown if it functions or not. Engine has been rebuilt with a aftermarket grind cam so it runs better with the headers and 4V. There are some chips in the paint above the drip edge on the driver roof. These will be repaired before the car ships, if it sells.
