Description of 1993 Ford Bronco XLT |
This truck is my 1993 Ford Bronco XLT with the 351W 5.8L V8 and EO4D transmission. It has just over 168,000 miles, which will go up a bit here and there as I drive it to work and around town. I bought the truck in November 2015 and need to sell since we are moving and don't have the garage space for three vehicles any longer. This is a solid running, classic truck with a lot of life left in it. Shifts smooth, lots of power, sounds awesome. The truck has brand new 31" AT Kumho tires. The suspension is KYB Excel-G shocks (quad shocks in front) in the front and rear. The brake lines are newer, done in 2015. I have replaced the steering gear box, the steering shaft, and the inner tie rod ends and of course, had it all aligned properly with new power steering fluid. The truck has a Flowmaster exhaust and sounds very rumbly and deep. It also has twin catalytic converters so passing smog is easy- well within CA boundaries, which are the strictest in the US. There is a new KNN air filter as well as a new MAP sensor, new EGR valve and sensor, ECR valve, crankcase filter, and PCV valve. All electric windows, including the rear window (inside switch and rear key switch), work. The electric mirrors work. The A/C blows but is not that cold (I never use it). Electric locks work. The drivers seat and rear bench seat are leather and in good condition, but the front passenger seat is torn. The headliner is nice and tight and all gauges work. This truck has a tow package with a 7-pin connector. The 4WD is electronic, but I have removed the automatic hubs (bearings were shot) and replaced them with Warn Premium Manual Locking hubs. They work great. I also replaced the transfer case motor that shifts the truck from 2WD to 4WD so it switches between 2H, 4H, and 4L instantly. The starter is new, I replaced it with a ProGear starter so it starts right up. I put in a new Accel Supercoil ignition coil, new 8mm wires, and a new cap and rotors. I replaced the positive battery cable with a new cable and removed the battery and alternator and had them tested- both are in excellent working order. I completely removed the brittle plastic vacuum lines and replaced them with Silicon Intake silicon vacuum tubing (the blue tubes in the photo). I put in a new thermostat and replaced the belt, idler pulley, and tensioner pulley. I have replaced the spare tire cover, the rear window seals, the tailgate bolts, tailgate strikers, and tailgate cables. Lots of new parts have this truck running strong and driving nice and tight. It does not seem to leak anything on my driveway which is a big plus for a car this age. I used this as my daily driver for almost a year and the only complaint I have had is the gas mileage. If you would like any pictures or angles that I have not included please let me know and I will take them and send them to you. If you pick up the truck in person you can have the grill guard that I have not installed yet for free. It was about $250 new from Rockauto but I don't want to put it on because I don't know if you, the new owner, will want it or not. Pink slip in hand. Clean title. Straight body, no accidents. CA owned its entire life. No body rust. |
