An Old farm truck with all it's authentic personality. 1955 Ford F250 with a 292 Y-block V-8, 4-speed top load transmission with granny, flat bed, auxiliary gas tank, throttle control, front and back work lights and a spot light. It starts right up and runs good, drives well, and stops straight. Recent work includes wheel and master cylinders, carburetor, distributor, charging system (12 volt), and a new gas tank. It shows 30,463 miles, but the motor runs and sound good so I suspect the speedo has turned over and the motor rebuilt. Things still needing done, but not keeping it from being driveable, are a cracked right exhaust manifold that leaks a little, crossover pipe is rusty and thin, the emergency brake shoes (on driveline) need relined, and the tach doesn't work (haven't checked it out), and front and back work lights (might just be fuse). There are a couple of small cab corner rust holes, but pretty rust free elsewhere. I'm going to miss the truck, it's fun just to look at (great yard art). Throw a bale of straw on the bed and maybe a dog (ok, maybe not), drive it around town and you'll get a lot of thumbs up.
