Description of 1968 Ford Mustang |
Up for auction is my 1968 Ford Mustang GT Coupe transformed into an Eleanor GT500E tribute car. It has a brand new 302ci crate engine from ATK Performance. It pushes over 320 horsepower. It has a new 5 speed manual transmission. front disk brakes. Edelbrock carburetor and Cobra valve covers and air filter. I have invested well over $60. 00 in parts and labor. Eleanor mustangs sell for over $75. 00 some even fetch upwards of $100. 00. I'm setting a low starting price with a low-reserve price. Highest bidder takes this muscle car home. I have taken this car to several car shows and it always draws a crowd. Recently I took it to the Daytona Turkey Run (see video at http://youtu. be/oAbKZOv6FKo)List of upgrades and mods:ATK Performance Stage 3 302ci Ford EngineTorque: 336Engine Type: FORD Small Block V8Displacement (cu. in): 302Block: Roller StyleBore / Stoke: 4. 040 X 3. 000Crankshaft: OE 1 Piece seal 50oz Bal. I have a clear title under my name from the State of Florida now. It had a couple rust holes in the floor pan and some surface rust. I had the car professionally restored at a body shop using a car rotisserie. No bolt left unturned. New floor plans were installed. The car was media blasted and all surface rust removed. The undercarriage was sprayed with heavy-duty protective liner coating. The vehicle started as a 1968 GT Coupe with a 289ci engine and automatic transmission. A 5-speed transmission was installed along with clutch pedal assembly. A fiberglass Eleanor body kit was bolted-on and then molded. The car was painted using the original Eleanor paint codes (Pepper Grey Metallic - Dupont Fleet 44490) with black racing stripes that extend the whole length of the car from front to back. The car has been mostly garaged kept. I take it out once in a while on the weekends or to car shows. It has a very aggressive muscle engine sound when idle and during acceleration. Lots of power to the rear tires. It has been my dream come true but I'm planning to use the money for a real-estate investment. I hope you enjoy this car as much as I do. Picture notes:The car has both driver and passenger side racing seats installed now. Picture only shows passenger side. The 5-speed chrome shifter with "Go-Baby-Go" shift knob is installed now.
