Under the hood youll find the... numbers matching 429 dressed with aluminum crescent or hemi style heads, aluminum intake and massive Holley carburetor. The 70 also received a mechanical lifter camshaft and upgraded dual exhaust too. The Boss was conservatively rated at 375 horsepower while actual output was believed to be well above 500 horsepower.Built in early November 1969 and delivered the following spring to the first owner, this car spent most of its early life racing at local drag strips in Michigan. Over the course of the next few years the car was tuned by Jack Rousch and lightly raced till it was eventually retired to barn duty. The car was eventually resurected in 2016 and has just been through a complete nut and bolt restoration by noted expert Kevin Manley, and scored a 994 out of 1,000 by the Mustang Club of America!!Presented in its original livery of Grabber Blue with a white interior, this car is done to concours standards inside and out.
