Description of 1950 Ford Sedan |
I have a custom 1950 Ford Sedan, 2-door hardtop, that has been chopped, dropped, shaved, and frenched - flat black exterior - red and black interior. I have a few classic cars, and this one definitely gets the most attention and thumbs-up from other drivers. The car drives great and is a lot of fun, but I am ready to move on to something different. 383 stroker engine (custom built - Voodoo CAM, ported and polished heads, SS valves, triple coated Indy pistons, Mallory rings, Hooker headers, Edelbrock carb and EPS intake). 475 HP, 390 ft-lb torque (per engine builder - not verified). It's fast. This is definitely a hot rod. Acceleration is awesome! Turbo 350 automatic transmission, floor shift, Corvette servo. 1979 Malibu sub-frame (welded to original frame) and suspension - drives like a '79 Malibu, not a '50 Ford. MSD Ignition. 2 door - both are suicide with electronic deadbolt locks. Power windows, power steering, power brakes, Vintage air conditioning (needs recharge, one hose leaks at the fitting and I haven't taken time to replace the hose). Shaved side gas fill door. Gas fill tube is in the trunk. Battery is in the trunk next to the right quarter panel - hidden by a removable panel. Frenched head lights, custom grill. Blue dot tail lights, center brake light. Dual exhaust with 3" pipes (it's loud - sounds like a Harley). I love the rumble of the exhaust. The mufflers may be pass-thru, so take that into consideration with regard to your local noise and pollution regulations. The car was shown on an episode of Mecum Auctions - My Muscle Car - on NBCSN a few years ago. I have the car's history going back to the person who built it. I haven't found any rust on the car. Everything is solid. No fiberglass. This is a summer car. The windshield wiper system was removed as part of the customization. Front seats are from a 1960's Mustang. The steering column and gas tank are from the '79 Malibu donor car. Comes with a set of NOS (New Old Stock - meaning they were made in 1950, not reproduction) fender skirts. Warranty: None. This car is being sold in "AS IS" condition with no guarantees or warranties, either expressed or implied. This is a 68 year old car that has been highly customized. I have tried to describe it as accurately as possible. It is the buyer's responsibility to personally inspect the vehicle or send a third-party inspector that will perform an inspection. Ask if you have questions. Shipping: Buyer is responsible for all shipping and transportation fees, and for making such arrangements. I will certainly coordinate with your shipper to get the car loaded and on its way. US shipments only, no international.
