We recently purchased this Galaxie from the previous 68 year old local Idaho owner who purchased the car from the family of the ORIGINAL OWNERS ESTATE in 2011 and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy !! He was friends with the elderly owners son and when they passed away he bought the car from the estate through their 68 year old son. The second owner kept this car in a climate controlled garage / shop which is where we found the car and purchased it from him. The ORIGINAL OWNERS bought the car BRAND NEW at Bob Rice Ford right here in Boise, Idaho on March 5, 1964 and it has been here ever since, 54 YEARS !! It has always been in Idaho it's entire life. This Galaxie 500 still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door mounted Ford data / VIN tag - FACTORY ORIGINAL - trunk lid mounted jacking instruction sticker - ORIGINAL - 1964 Ford owner's manual - ORIGINAL 1964 Idaho title and the - ORIGINAL - New car dealer purchase order and options list, all of which are shown in several pictures below. This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western car since NEW and it shows !! I drove this Galaxie as my daily driver for the last several days and it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It is a sweet driver in town and cruises down the freeway easily and smoothly. If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days, please come and take a look at and drive this BEAUTY for yourself. This is a BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC GALAXIE 500 THAT IS READY TO DRIVE, SHOW AND ENJOY !!At the heart of this Galaxie is what appears to be the VERY STRONG !! - FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Code "X" - 352 CID V8 motor that is running VERY well. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL 4 barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL "Ford" scripted valve covers, ORIGINAL air cleaner housing and an ORIGINAL STYLE 4 barrel carburetor, ETC... !! Sounds GREAT too with the factory style true dual exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH !! - REBUILT - Code "4" - Three speed -"Cruise-O-Matic" - automatic transmission which also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL !! - ALL FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Code "17" - Turquoise Patterned Cloth and Vinyl interior is in NICE condition for being original including a NICE ORIGINAL Turquoise Patterned Cloth and Vinyl front seat, Good ORIGINAL Turquoise carpeting, NICE ORIGINAL Matching Turquoise Vinyl door panels, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge clusters, NICE ORIGINAL Galaxie 500 steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Turquoise Patterned Cloth and Vinyl rear seat, NICE ORIGINAL Wimbledon White Vinyl sun visors, Good ORIGINAL Wimbledon White Vinyl headliner (with several small holes / tears), and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL Dark Green Vinyl dash pad with NO CRACKS !! In my opinion your not going to find a much nicer FACTORY ORIGINAL INTERIOR than the one in this BEAUTY !! All of the ORIGINAL black rubber weatherstripping is soft, supple and in good condition for being original. The MOSTLY FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Code "BM" - Pagoda Green and Wimbledon White exterior finish is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !! but is showing several small chips and imperfections that have been touched up but looks GREAT !! as you can clearly see in the LENGTHY VIDEO & 100+ ADDITIONAL PICTURES below this description !! This Galaxie 500 comes nicely equipped including factory power steering, factory power brakes, factory power wipers, factory front wing windows, working factory 4-way power front seat, factory gauge clusters with 120 MPH speedometer, original rear view mirror, original clock which is no longer working, good heater and defroster, WORKING original Ford AM radio, original driver's chrome remote side view exterior mirror, front and rear seat belts and factory back up lights. This Galaxie 500 has GREAT looks and VERY STRONG 352 V8 power as well, whats not to LOVE ?! There are not many of these left on the roads for sure ! The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME !! - FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Galaxie 500 stainless steel wheel covers and NEARLY NEW whitewall steel belted radials, boy do they look OUTSTANDING on this Galaxie and really help retain that CLEAN - "Factory Original" - look !! All of the ORIGINAL Chrome and Stainless Steel exterior body trim and moldings are in NICE condition including NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Badging and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL Stainless Steel grill and headlight surrounds. The CLEAN - SOLID - trunk also sports the ORIGINAL liner, the ORIGINAL jack and lug wrench and what appears to be the FACTORY ORIGINAL UNUSED !! full size whitewall spare tire !! All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! I looked underneath and also included photos below, again this has been a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western vehicle it's whole life and it shows !! In my opinion, you're not going to find much nicer - SOLID ORIGINAL FLOORS !! - than the one's on this BEAUTY !!
