Description of 1993 Ford Mustang Svt cobra

I apologize for the scattered pictures, over 100 pictures of the car will be available shortly alonf with a walk around video. Pictures do not do this car justice.

Here I have to offer one of the finest examples of a 1993 mustang cobra. This one primary owner car was owned by a 66 year old man who spent his career working for ford. He maintained and cared for this car for over 25 years. The only reason he let go of it was because he was having a hard time pushing in the clutch. This cobra is the definition of babied and maintained.

This is a VERY DESIRABLE hard to find car. It is 1 of 362 with the red paint and black interior. Given the perfect history, the original paint, original drivetrain, and retaining every piece of paperwork and then some, I can confidently say you will not find another car like this, period.

The exterior of this car is in unbelievable shape for a 25 year old 73k mile car. The paint 100% original, obtaining all the factory vin stickers. Unlike many other original paint foxbodies the paint is not faded whatsoever. Yes this even means the plastic bumpers are the same color as the metal body. Not knowing the car you would think it was just repainted, or that it only has 25k miles or less. I always get asked who painted the car and when it was done. The look on their face when i say ford in 1993 is priceless! The only flaws are a few of rock chips here and there mostly on the hood above the grill, and 3 small door dings on the passenger side of the car. I was quoted only $300 to have them removed by a paintless dent repair guy. I just decided to leave the car totally original for the next owner. You can't really tell unless you're looking for them, keep in mind i am very picky.

The black interior is in almost new condition. No one has ever sat in the back seat. There's no white haze over the plastics, ZERO fading (the car has been in a heated garage its whole life) the carpet has no rips or stains, the headliner is tight, and the seats are plush and in great shape. There is one small wear mark on the drivers side bolster, you don't really notice it unless you're actually looking for it. The sun visors are mint with no indents and retain the factory markings, and the bulbs still function when you lift up the lid. The rear view mirror also has zero haze. One thing you might have noticed is EVERY GAUGE WORKS! Sometimes the airbag light will flash at you, i'm not sure why but i figured it's something i should mention. Crazy enough, the flip open ashtray door still actually works as well but one side of it is broken. It still opens and closes it just sits a little crooked sometimes. The rear ash tray opens and closes fine. The radio works about 80% of the time. Every now and then it will turn off and turn back on (very common with these cars, most of the time they dont work at all).

If you were looking to restore a foxbody you would be begging for the trim off of this car!

It all feels rubberized still with with very very little deterioration. It all still retains that OEM black look that everyone desires to have on these cars. That includes the black paint on top of the doorframes as well. Another thing, the measurements from the top of the door frames to the roof are identical! This car is not twisted in any way, shape, or form. The top of the windshield wiper arms are faded a little bit (see pictures) and a very small spot on the mirrors. Overall they still look way better than the typical foxbody. These could be fixed very easily as it is a simple R&R job but i opted to leave the car in its fully original state. The cowl plastic is not cracked, along with any of the other plastic window trim. The only “bad" spot would be the corner of the drivers side window seal. There is about a 1 inch spot that is slightly warped and has a crack in it, i included a picture of that as well.

I think this goes without saying but the car has zero rust. Shock towers, hatch, torque boxes, floor pans, door jambs, and trunk are all clean as can be. The original owner opted to have the teflon package applied to the car, which was basically like a old school ceramic coating (see pictures of paperwork) This package also included having the car undersprayed. They actually did a good job opposed to just spraying it all over the place like on other foxbodies i've had.

Everything is original other than bbk headers, bbk catted h-pipe, a flowmaster exhaust, and tires. When I say everything that includes the clutch, brakes, plug wires, etc. The wheels have literally only been off the car TWICE. Once in 2005 i believe to swap out the tires, and once just now now to take pictures and inspect. The car even has the egr setup as well. The original r12 a/c also blows colder than my daily driver! I do have the original factory cobra headers, they will be included with the sale of the car. The car literally runs and drives like new, it was babied!

The paperwork on this car is simply awesome. The welcome letters from svt are included along with the teflon coating paperwork. The original dealer sticker matches the dealer tag on the back of the car as it should. I have the original sales brochure along with the deluxe sales brochure, i even have the svt specific envelope! Another thing that goes with the car that you don't see often is original magazine articles from 1993 when the car first came out. Kept inside and stored safe, all of these documents and articles are in pristine condition.

Being a mustang guy I have tried to be as honest as possible and point out every imperfection on the car along with common areas of flaws. I do not want there to be ANY surprises when you pick up or take delivery of the car. My name is Devin, I encourage you to call me at 860-941-4523 if you have any questions on the car that I have not covered, and by all means you are welcome to see the car in person before you bid. My time is yours! Keep in mind you never see a car with these options and history come up for sale. The car NEEDS NOTHING! I have owned over 15 mustangs with many of them being foxbodies and I can say with confidence this ‘93 cobra is a true example of a Gem that that can also be a driver without having to worry about racking up mileage. If you want to feel like a kid driving a brand spankin new 1993 cobra but at a fraction of what a new one would cost today, this is the car for you.
