Description of 1955 Ford Crown Victoria Country Squire |
Selling my family's Ford because we are not driving it. Would love to see it go a good home. This car was bought by my Great Uncle in 1956 from Ketchel Ford in Hackettstown, NJ. I have the original dealer pull kart that came with the car. My Dad got the car Ford in 1970 and parked it in the garage in 1980 where it sat until 1993. The owner of Long Valley auto body bought the car from my Dad and restored it. He repaired the rust in the rear fenders, but otherwise left it original. The car has the original interior and pinetree green paint. Also has an unmodified Y Block V-8 and three-speed automatic. The electrics were converted to 12 volt. I bought the car in 2004. Since then I've replaced the foam in the front bench, but kept the original fabric. I just replaced the tires and the carburetor. Car starts, runs, and drives perfectly. The older restoration is aging well. There's not a hint of rust and almost everything works, the exception being the speedometer. Personal inspections are very much encouraged. As are questions so you know what you're bidding on. |
