Black on black F100 show truck, Extensive Body off restoration, with over 40k spent and lots of receipts. A lot of pride and joy went into this father and son show truck project completed the son's shop, Midwest Rod and Restoration, done the right way. Starting with a very nice solid 1955 Ford F100 body removed from the frame in 2012 and blasted down to bare metal, and painted in a black mirror finish, new glass was installed all the way around, new chrome bumpers front and back, new red oak bed and stainless strips were installed in a a smooth dent free bed, new bed hardware installed, the truck was rewired and new electronic components installed. The inside of the truck was prepped and painted in high gloss black just like the outside. Refurbished gauges installed along with a re chromed instrument cluster bezel and a freshly painted crack free steering wheel. Very nice, short back leather bucket seats with buddy seat were installed. Under the hood is a show quality engine compartment embellishing a rebuilt 302 power plant, Holly aluminum intak, Newer power brake booster with dual master cylinder and Hedman ceramic coated headers and dual Flomaster exhaust that sounds awesome. The rubber meets the road with an automatic transmission with overdrive for highway cruising.
