To this day, the Ford Model A is one of the most recognizable cars on the planet and with over 4.8 million units produced in nine different body styles in its 4 year production period. It was sporty, attractive, well-built, and smooth-running compared to the Model T, which it replaced in the 1928 model year. Thousands of people stormed Ford showrooms when the Model A debuted on December 2, 1927. In less than two weeks there were 400,000 orders, and... Henry Ford could not keep up with the demand for his latest "gift" to an increasingly mobile nation. Despite the onset of the Depression, Model A production remained strong at 1,261,053 cars in 1930 but fell to 626,579 cars in 1931, the last year that the Model A was produced. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this lovely Model A for your consideration. This 1929 is finished in classic beige with darker fenders and features an easy to use convertible top that is in good shape. Overall, the car is in good condition and has tons of charm and patina. The car rides on the stock wheels with twin fender mounted spare tires. The interior features dark tan leather trim that is in in great shape. It also has a rear mounted luggage rack and the fold out rumble seat. The standard large displacement 4 cylinder engine is a strong runner and the car runs and drives surprisingly nice. The engine starts up with no fuss and its more than happy to cruise at 50mph. It tracks straight and true and stops well. A perfect cruiser, you won't be disappointed by this unique and classic bit of American Motoring history! To see over 80 photos of this car, including undercarriage please visit our website
