UP for auction is a spiffy 1924 Ford Model T Touring car which has had a frame-off restoration and runs and drives well. Produced in the hey day of the 1920's, this Tin Lizzie sports a Ford black color, fully rebuilt engine and transmission and new custom made top for the car shows, tours or just running to get ice cream. Here are the features of this car: - frame off full restoration of the body including new wood and black laquer paint in the last 15 years - rebuilt engine with new pistons, valves, main bearings and transmission drums - all new wiring and rebuilt coil boxes - custom made leatherette roof by am upholstery shop reinforced where needed with thick material - new upholstery and upgraded to diamond pleats on the cushions with good springs and padding - rebuilt wooden wheels, recently cleaned and sealed, good tires and tubes (and spare tire) - newer brakes with rebuilt carburetor, shiny clean gas tank inside, new fuel line & new sediment bulb - always maintained and regular oil changes with transmission screen and magnet for filtration - newer radiator with extra tubes and fins for heavy duty cooling - brass motometer for the radiator to monitor the engine - rebuilt starter and generator, the car recharges the battery accurately - rare working Stewart speedometer on dash & large gear but missing the speedo cable - vibrator horn works and all lights illuminate for night driving, added sidelamps for more light - aftermarket step plates and chrome side-view mirror for safety The car starts right up reliably and putters all day, good clutch and handbrake to hold the car. There are the normal nicks, scratches and touch-ups from being used and driven. A few bubbles from paint lifting but no large damage nor immediate work needed on this car- drive it and enjoy it. The driver's door is tight and needs a firm closing to shut, but it latches and stays closed when driving. That same door has a little less shine than the others maybe due to usage or a repaint.
