Description of 1975 Ford LTD Country Squire Station Wagon |
Recently Rebuilt 400 V8 engine runs well - no oil burn or leaks Recently rebuilt transmission Tires and battery new Very unusual front power mini-vent windows 6-way power seats (driver and passenger) 3-way tailgate works well including window Rear under-floor lockable storage Tilt steering wheel Modern Receiver-style hitch Clean Washington title - no liens, no salvage I purchased the car about 3 years ago in the Seattle area and have done significant fixing up, but still a ways to go - see below. I believe it had been stored outdoors but under a carport, with the rear end somewhat exposed. There is not rust damage on the car indicative of salt exposure. The woodgrain is in fairly good condition on the sides but in poor condition on the tailgate. The trim strips on top of the woodgrain are peeling except on the 4 doors, where I had them renewed. I have driven this car on multiple trips in the 400-mile round-trip range during the past couple of years without issue. I have never tried taking it further than that.
Some hood damage - appears to have been hit by a falling tree branch - see photo - cosmetic only - does not interfere with operation of hood or headlights Vinyl roof removed by a previous owner - roof needs a repaint Car was built with factory-AC, but removed by a previous owner. Driver seat has a good size tear (see picture) Left rear window has good motor but has electrical issue Rear window defog does not work Power locks could use some work Bottom line - a very high option car with substantial work done recently to the point where it is reliable transportation, but significant work left to do - especially with appearance items. 1970's-series LTD's were Ford's second-most-popular car ever after the model-T, but very few are left.
