1948 Ford Woody Station Wagon- “Survivor”. It is truly a real BARN FIND. Car has been in dry storage for the last 30+ years. however the owner did start & run it semi-regularly. The Flathead V8 runs smooth. and it retains the 3-on-the-tree manual transmission. Tires are brand new Coker 6. 00-16 wide whitewalls. as the ones that were on it were dry rotted from storage. It does run and yard drive. but due to being in long term storage. it would be a good idea to give all the systems a good once over before driving it too far. The metal was re-painted sometime in the early 70’s; it is fair and looks ok from a distance. but is driver quality at best. There is a small amount of rust bubbling at the bottom rear of the front fenders where the cowl meets. please see pictures. The wood is all original and was re-varnished/top coated as needed over the years. There are a couple places delaminating. see pictures for details. The glass is original and is good except the right rear quarter window. which has a crack. Interior is in good. usable condition. This car has never been completely restored and just up kept over the years.
