Description of 1956 Ford Other

wow a lot to list here. this car has a 71 galaxie motor and trans. 351 Windsor. and c4. both overhauled a few years ago. but not many miles. sure has more power. and reliability than the original y block. both bumpers have been chromed. most of the chrome is pristine. even the park light housings that are so expensive to buy. look like new. not sure what mufflers are on. but the exhaust sounds just right. not real loud. but really pleasing. this car is really a dream car to me. owned a couple of the 56 fords. when they were just old cars. and I was in high school. kinda tells my age. the former owner told me the floor pans were replaced. but it is undercoated. and I really couldn't tell. I am sure it has had some rust repair. but most almost 60 year old cars have. a few years ago it had new seat covers. headliner. carpets. nd door panels. nbsp;all still look really good. nbsp;all the gauges work. even the clock. the speedometer reads 10 mph or so fast. probably needs the gear changed at the end of the cable. we put in elec. wipers. and. ignition. it has some added chrome. the seat skirts. and the panel at the top of the door panel where you would lay your arm with the window down. There are no door dings. there is a chip or 2. that can be touched up. when they put the fenders back on it was to close to the driver door. and there is a chip there. and they didn't line up the hood correct and there is a couple chips there. now they are lined up correct. the hood needs a rubber bumper kit about 20$. I think you could drive this car back home. just remember in 56. they do not drive like new cars today. the heater motor does not come on. but I never had it looked at. because if I keep it. it is going to the shop for vintage heat and air. and they will remove all of the original parts. might even have power brakes. and steering done at the same time. the windows all go up and down easy. nbsp; the car runs cool in the summer. the original look. aftermarket radio. may need a filter. it picks up some ignition noise. may have that. and rubber hood bumper kit fixed before end of auction. if the weather clears up. too much snow. and I never get it out except clear days. any light or dark spots seen on the pics. would be glare. there are 3 pencil lead size paint drops on the edge of the trunk. have them in the pics. I don't think it is rust. . the car is not perfect. there are a couple of wiper marks on the windshield. but really light. and probably would buff out. the paint is from a 55 or 56 olds. really looks right on this car. if you drive this to town. be ready to be talking about cars. several times had people wanted to have me take a pic of them sitting behind the wheel. that reminds me there is a little black paint wearing off the wheel. and it needs a horn kit installed. someone years ago. put a horn button on the side of the column. the tires are all new Michelins 15's. if the car sells. a 500. 00$ non refundable deposit in 48 hours. and the balance in 5 days from sale. I can keep the car inside for a couple weeks. till pick up or shipping. the car is located in a small town in northern okla. called ripley. I am sure I have forgotten a bunch. I am no mechanic. but if questions come up. I will try and answer. there is a 1000. 00 non-refundable deposit due with in 48 hours after sale. and balance due in 7 days
