Description of 1985 Ford Mustang

Up for auction is a very rare. collectible 1985 Mustang GT. This GT has Original T-Tops (THAT DON'T LEAK). The car also has 17. 50 ORIGINAL miles! This is not an error or a trick. The car is currently registered/insured/inspected. Runs amazing. Dark cherry red with original factory grey/charcoal gt details and trim. Needs carb rebuild or you could pay $200 to buy a new one. I preferred to sell car with original carburetor. 5-speed manual transmission is PERFECT in every gear. Amazing shifting. This car is 100% stock and untouched with the exception of 2 very quiet flowmaster mufflers. Car is still extremely quiet. Runs awesome even with bad carb except it delays acceleration when you press the throttle all the way down. With a new carb it will run brand new like off the showroom floor. Only flaw on the car is the paint. but in my opinion it's not a flaw because it's original. I could have easily painted this car. undercoated it. and did full body job. I chose not to. It's original. There are no dents and no rot. Just bad paint and 1 spot of rust on the passenger rear fender. Under the car has surface rust especially on rear axle. The body/frame have suffered no rot. Strut towers are great. The car could use a nice undercoat to keep it perfect for many more years to come. I felt like leaving it original. Interior is amazing. small spot on drivers bottom seat. small rip near seat latch as pictured. Absolutely beautiful grey halo seats with red details. Headliner has 2 small pieces of wood holding the back in place. easy fix never cared to do it. Also. as a result of driving the car all summer with the bad carb. the clutch is nearly burned out. I could have replaced it but wanted to leave stock one so the buyer can receive a 100% original car (except for factory tires obviously. ) Missing a small smog tube from the intake snorkel to the manifold. Car comes with leather t-top bags. and very expensive/rare aftermarket Marchal fog light covers. The story on the car: A man purchased this car when it came out and drove it only for a couple years before passing away. The car sat in a barn for 20+ years. The paint and underside suffered moisture but still no rot on the car. The car rides amazing. The weatherstrips creak a bit otherwise the car is silent. Absolutely the nicest foxbody i've ever been in. 30 year old car that drives like new (other than then the carburetor). Car is currently titled. insured. was being daily driven for a while but I didn't want to accumulate any more mileage on it. as of now I only drive it when it's really nice out and t-top weather. You will not find another unabused foxbody with such low mileage. If the original paint is a problem for you. pass on the car because it is very worn. Again I will say. there is no rot or dents on the car. There are scratches on the plastic grey trim here and there that can easily be worked to factory look. Again. this is something I CHOSE to leave original. This car won't sell for cheap due to rarity of low mileage 4-eye foxbodys. This is a collector's item that deserves to be in a garage or at car shows.
