Description of 1967 Ford Mustang GT Fastback |
1967 Ford Mustang GT VIN 7T02C290035 This marvelous Mustang GT is a repeat American Antique Automobile Club award winner, having earned Senior National First prize honors in 1993 and in 2000 taking home the Grand National First prize, both a testament to the car's superb quality. This prize-winning GT has only been trailered to shows since its restoration to preserve its superb condition. The GT was still the foremost performance Mustang in 1967, combining power and handling with up-level trim. The GT Equipment Group comprised the Handling Package, power front disc brakes, dual exhaust, 70-series tires, GT gas cap and fender badges, rocker panel GT stripes and grille-mounted fog lamps. Finished in Nightmist Blue paint over laser-straight sheet metal, the car is equipped with the 289 CI small-block V-8, complete with a chromed Hi-Po-style open-element air cleaner and Black crinkle-finish Cobra valve covers, a 4-speed manual transmission and power steering to complement the car's power front disc brakes. The car boasts a new original-style Black interior with updated door panels featuring molded armrests. The Interior Dcor Group was all new for 1967. Stylists replaced the old "Pony" motif with distinctive brushed-aluminum dash, door and console accents and specified courtesy lights in the doors, bolstered bucket seats and stainless pedal trim. This GT also features tinted glass, an in-dash clock, push-button radio, remote-control outside mirrors, wood-rimmed deluxe steering wheel and an optional overhead console with driver and passenger map lights. Extensively detailed throughout and completed with BFGoodrich Radial T/A , this prize-winning GT has only been trailered to shows since its restoration to preserve its superb condition. - AACA Senior winner Two laminated Marti Reports, two copies of Mustang Monthly Magazine featuring a 3 page article on the car, and two copies of Mustang & Fords magazine featuring a 3 page article on the car are included in the sale.
