1992 Ford XLT Super Duty 7.3L Service TruckThis truck was owned by a local fire department and was used to haul their equipment. The decals and cab lights can easily be removed if the new owner doesn't want them. The truck has a custom built, all aluminum, service body that measures 12' long x 5'5" tall and 7'9" wide. I would estimate that this body would cost over $30,000 new today. The inside of the service body is carpeted with rubber floor mats. There are some shelves and tracks to hang items. The service body doors are well built, not the typical flimsy doors you see on most service bodies. The truck has a little over 18,000 miles, I am driving it so it will increase slightly. With it being such low miles it has a long life ahead of it. The truck has the 7.3L IDI diesel and automatic transmission. Per the pictures the rockers and doors are rust free. The truck runs and drives well. Within the last two months I have replaced both batteries, all glow plugs, and the glow plug controller. The only known issue is that the passenger power door lock isn't working, it makes noise like it is cycling but the lock rod doesn't move, it manually locks. The service body is wired for a 110v generator (7500w Onan diesel generator not included in the auction, can be purchased separately) with 6 breakers running to four outlets (one on each corner of the body) and the two rear flood lights. Truck is sold as is where is in south central Iowa. This is a really clean, well maintained truck that will make someone an excellent service truck or be a great addition to a fire department fleet.
