Description of 1988 Ford Mustang LX |
1988 Mustang LX Vert. Smoke Gray. 5 speed. I have owned this car for about 4 years. I have never taken the car to the track. It has been a car me and my Son have used for cruise nights . Just had a second kid so unfortunately I have had no time to really drive the car. Hence, the sale. Car has always been reliable. No known mechanical issues. I have put about 5k into it over the past couple years. I bought it with 105,000 miles, It now has 108,000 miles. Originally a Tennessee car. Never driven in salt or snow. No rust. Underneath is clean. I drove down to Southern Illinois to purchase the car and drove it 6 hours home to Chicago with no issues. Cloth Convertible top was replaced not too long ago but has a small hole on the drivers side. Stock 302 block with B303 cam, GT40P heads, Ford Racing Headers with X-pipe, Ford Racing Driveshaft, EFI converted to Holley 650 CFM Carb, 3:55 gear, Ford Racing Clutch, LMR 5 lug conversion, Aluminum radiator, Vert Style Bar. Below are the modifications that I have done since I have purchased the car. Ronal R-9 wheels (Just like the Saleen wheels) with new tires $1,600 (tires maybe have 5,ooo miles on them) 5 speed Hurst shifter $200 Hurst handle $60 BBk Subframe connectors $150 plus $400 to install (welded in) New Optima Battery $220 Ford racing valve covers $144 Ford Racing air cleaner $80 Ultra clear headlights (not installed) paid $150 Front and Rear Adjustable Koni SA Yellow shocks/struts (fronts are installed, rears are not) Paid $616 Black Magic fan kit $380 Mach one chin spoiler $60 floor mats from LMR $70 Ford Racing B Lowering Springs $230 (fronts are installed. Rears are not) Qa1 Cast and Camber plates $170 Maximum Motorsports Front Sway Bar $180 Maximum Motorsports 4-point K Member brace $100 Sway Bar end links with new bushings $50 Spintech Dumps (sounds great) $325 A/C and Heat work but I have barely used either since this is a fair weather car only. Current issues -Small leak behind water pump -Has a possibly slight oil leak -Small hole in convertible top, Motor for top does not work. -Trunk pop switch does not work. Have to use key -No horn -Normal wear and tear from a 30 year old vehicle. On Aug-29-18 at 10:15:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a link to the car running.
