Description of 1963 Ford Thunderbird Custom "Roadster" V8 Muscle Car Hot Rod potential !! |
Up for auction is a good looking 1963 Thunderbird "custom roadster". This is an unfinished running/driving car, originally a coupe with the roof removed (there is no convertible top). The car has new front suspension pieces, brake master cylinder/booster have been replaced, and it has a new gas tank. The engine has been upgraded with an Edelbrock carburator. The rims have are custom five spoke alloys that really look good on the car. The body and frame are very solid, body looks straight. Paint looks nice but is only above average driver quality. The car starts easily, idles well and the engine has no noticeable leaks or tailpipe smoke. The car does need finishing, there are trim pieces missing around the car (trim around windshield, switches, some interior door handles, trunk lock, weather-striping etc.) Also, one door window is missing, including the regulator mechanism. A lot of suspension pieces look new, but the car will need a wheel alignment. Brake system has a majority of new parts, but the brakes will need to be bled. Reverse lights work, but many others don't. Ideally, the car deserves and upgraded/modern drive-train and front disk brakes be to enjoyed fully. The car has been parking lot driven to test the gears and brakes (see video), the engine sounds and drives well, but is tired. The car is sold as-is and as equipped. However, you are welcome to come see and/or have the car inspected before the end of the auction. Payment is due in full within seven days of the end of the auction. All California buyers in-state sales are subject to sales tax, doc. & lic fees. In California, all vehicles over ten years old are sold miles "exempt". Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. IMG 8769 Video will open in a new window Using the mobile app? Copy this link into your browser: |
