1966 Ford Mustang Fastback. 6 year rotisserie restoration.Ccar was built to be driven. Where do I start? the motor is a 289. It was built by world renowned Express Engines and is balanced and blue printed. It has flat top forged pistons, Comp Cam, Lunati roller rockers, Flow Tech aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake, Holly 650 carb, long tube ceramic headers, Holly fuel pump, double roller timing chain & 7 quart finned, deep sump oil pan and Ford racing valve covers. The transmission is an AOD with overdrive. It was stripped to the case & painted then built to match the motor by Ron Wirth of Trutech Automotive, INC. The rear end is a Lincoln Versailles Ford 9" w/ factory disc brakes. It was stripped to the housing and blasted. The welds where ground down and polished. Timken bearings and seals and Yukon 373 gears fill the housing. The brakes are slotted and drilled rotors with ceramic pads. The brake lines are stainless and stainless braided. The calipers are painted to match the body. There are heavy front and rear sway bars. The shocks are KYB. All of the suspension components are new. The front and rear springs are 3/4 inch drop and stiffened for handling . All of the suspension is painted. The floor pans are polished. The car has a Borgsen power steering system. The A/C system is a 5 vent Hurricane system. The a/c controls are not cable; now they are electronic. The dash is old school look but is a Dakota cluster with a message center and a tach. The whole car is Dynomat lined and double under padded for insolation and noise. The body work is all steel and done by Mike Mehan. The paint is top of the line and laid by Steve Bough and Mitch Taylor. The car is completely over the top!!! Drives like a dream and shifts smooth as silk; but will put you in your seat if you ask it to! I know I have only listed a fraction of what the car has. Please contact me with any questions or if you want more details.
