Description of 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback |
1965 Mustang Fastback. 289 v8. 3/4 speed.I have owned a lot of Fastbacks, and this is the most solid one I have ever had. All panels are solid with no rust or any sign of replacement. From prior seller, this hasn't been on the road since early 1980s. I have purchased a lot of the new misc parts such as carpet, headliner, rubbers, trim, emblems and other things. I would love to finish this car, but my time doesn't allow it, and I have too many things going on(and I want my garage space back). I am also including a brand new water pump, as the one currently on it had a bad gasket. It turns over, but I haven't set the timing, or hooked up the fuel lines. You can see in the photos how clean this is, which is why I bought it. The interior seats are there along with the fold down rear. Tires are new along with engine rebuild. I have included a photo of the description of when I purchased it that explains what has been done. Car will need some panel straightening. The current paint job is very amateur. I was planning on having it plastic media blasted, but I cannot find time to do anything. I did take a little paint off drivers fender with some thinner to see color under like a 5"x5" area. I would doubt you would find a cleaner 65 mustang anywhere like this that is original and clean like this one. I have also included paperwork with some history of where this car came from. Door is missing the tag, I thought maybe it was in a box, but I cannot find it. I can hold until shipping is arranged, but am trying to get it out before winter so my wife can park in garage again :) Rolls and steers just fine. New battery installed also. Don't miss out on this extremely clean 65. |
