GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1938 Ford Pickup for purchase. This as a quality build of a classic pre-WWII that is very solid. The truck was a family project that took 5 years. When building the truck it was decided that they wanted to know exactly what was in the truck so they started with scratch with just a frame. It was built on a 1936 stock frame. The front suspension is built from a mustang II.... The rear end and rear brakes are out of a 1981 ford Granada. The power train is a 305 v8 that had been bored .30 over with a Hollley carburetor. New cam bearings were installed, the connecting rods were reconditioned, the crank shaft was ground, and the heads were resurfaced along with some valve work. The sheet metal is original aside from the box that came from Murthum Reproductions. The truck is finished in PPG Deltron Acrylic Urethane Wilson Blue and shows very well. The steering column is from a GM minivan. The fuel tank has a 20 gallon capacity. The truck rides on American racing wheels. The truck was given a Walker radiator with cooling fans. This truck was well built and is sure to please. To see over 80 photos of this car, including undercarriage please visit our website br/-
