Up for sale is a 1973 Ford F100 short bed shop truck that is a great little rat rod style sleeper. Most everything mechanical on the truck has been replaced, serviced or rebuilt. She has power disk brakes, power steering, AM/FM CD stereo w acc input, keyless entry power locks with alarm system, Autometer monster tachometer with shift light and a triple gauge set (oil, water & volts), there is a Nitrous arming switch at the shifter and it activates at WOT, it has an Optima battery, Dual temp activated Hayden electric fans, metal rear roll pan, LED/HID headlights and more than I can list or remember anyway. This is a very clean 100% rust free California truck that is so much fun because it catches the import fart can cars as well as Camaros off guard. It all started with a 1999 5.0 GTP roller motor that we built using a SCAT 331 stroker kit, then we ported, polished and flow benched the GT40 heads, used a Ford Racing F303 roller cam & lifter kit, TrickFlow valve springs, 1.6 ratio roller rockers, quiet gear drive timing set, long tube headers with dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers, Edelbrock Victor intake with EB Performer carb, Jegs electric race fuel pump, billet inline fuel filter, Holley adjustable fuel pressure regulator, braided steel AN fitting lines, billet Petronix Flame Thrower distributor, MSD 6AL digital ignition, Lokar oil dipstick, Ford Racing black aluminum valve covers, custom aluminum low pro dual cone air cleaner and a NOS plate system with 100hp jets installed (can go 75-220hp). Don over at Motor Machine did all the machine work. The engine is pushing a streetable and very reliable 402hp with the Edelbrock carb and still gets decent mileage. With a Quick Fuel 750 you can feel a substantial increase in performance but it sucks some serious fuel. I have not activated the NOS system yet. We mated that engine to a CA Performance Transmission C4 trans built with a street/strip shift kit, forged internals, 6 pinion planetary, forged turbine shaft, Kevlar clutches, a Lokar dipstick, Revmax 9.5" billet 3,400 stall torque converter using a B&M Mega shifter to slap gears. The rear is a 9" rear axle with a Detroit locker, 4:11 gears, a Strange aluminum bolt through big bearing 3rd member with Daytona carrier, chromo axles and Rancho RS9000 shocks. The front suspension is sitting on Crown 3" F250 lowering springs to stiffen ride with adjustable Rancho RS9000 shocks and the rear is lowered with an F250 spring pack utilizing a reversed spring and she corners like a rally car. She has new 22" Boss wheels and Toyo Performance tires in 265 fronts, 295 rears and these things hook great. If you're looking for a new truck with no squeaks, no wind noise, perfect paint that rides like a Cadillac this is not for you. But, if you grew up riding in or driving these old Fords, understand that they have definite personalities, like loud hot rod power plants, love the sound and smell of a big smoky burn out, enjoy the individual quirks of old vehicles and feel that all this is what makes them so much fun to drive, then this might be a fit you. California title in hand. No BS and no joy rides. Thank you.
