1939 Ford Deluxe Model 91A 2-door sedan. "Rum Runner Special", purchased from the Leith Collection, North Carolina. Genuine former "moonshine" car. Original 221 c.i. flathead V-8 with vintage Edelbrock heads, extra leaf in rear suspension. Starter and distributor recently rebuilt. New aluminum radiator painted factory black installed, with original radiator included. The body and interior were restored approximately 15 years ago, both show very little wear. The body panel/door fitment and black paint are very good. No bondo or accident repair is evident. The seat material, banjo-style steering wheel, dashboard are all correct. The gauges are currently inoperable (weekend project?) The flathead V-8 starts and runs strong and as smooth as it should. No smoke or oil leaks. No rust or rust repair on chassis. Newer bias-ply wide whitewall tires. Very reasonable reserve for this solid, well cared for classic. Please call Mike (609) 712-2423 or e-mail at michael.lavelle@amtrustgroup.com
Note 1. Car is for sale locally. Owner reserves the right to end auction early. Note 2. This car was listed on eBay in early summer. A mid-west dealer "pirated" our listing and advertised this car for sale in his inventory on at least three sites. This car is privately owned by us. It is not a part of any dealer's inventory. If you see this car listed elsewhere, it is a scam.
