Description of 1952 Ford F-1

If you are looking for a thoughtfully built, well put together and reliable cruiser, then check this truck out. It is a super clean and wholesome F1 that looks good, drives great, and has a gorgeous interior that is packed with modern comfort and convenience items. It is almost like cheating when you start with a '52 F1 for a build. The lines are classic and the look is awesome. It was the first redesign for the Ford pickups after the war, and this is the last year model for this body style. This build was done with all original sheet metal and was completed in 2014. The Cool Vanilla paint is a basecoat/clearcoat system that is near flawless and shines bright. It is complemented by new chrome bumpers as well as the trim around the headlights, a slash of chrome down the side of the hood with Ford and an F1 badge set into it and there are strips of chrome along the running boards too. The truck sits low with a nice bit of chassis rake adding a bit of attitude to it while Eagle alloy wheels tuck up under the fenders and add their bit of flash. A tonneau cover in Cool Vanilla and Green adds a nice look that is echoed in the interior. Open the door and you will find that Vanilla and Green interior in all its custom glory. The door panel sets the tone in Vanilla sheet metal with F1 embossed at the bottom and a Green panel holding the door handle and power window switches. The bucket seats are works of art stitched with high grade leather in green stripes and piping with vanilla contrasting panels and a custom console between them. There is a three-spoke steering wheel of chrome and green mounted on a late model tilt column with a billet shifter for the automatic transmission. It sits in front of a dash panel with just two simple, white faced, Omega gauges. One is the speedo and the other contains the engine and fuel gauges. A billet Vintage Air control panel graces the center of the dash and below it, the lower dash is trimmed in green which matches up with the door panel nicely. It contains the vents for the A/C system as well as a JVC FM/CD/Bluetooth/iPod compatible stereo for your listening pleasure. Pop the hood and you will find a 350 cubic inch crate motor nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. The block and accessories have been color matched in green and there is lots of chrome with the air topper, valve covers, A/C compressor, alternator, master cylinder cap, spark plug wire guards and even the receiver dryer all chromed up for the show. The firewall has been smoothed for a clean look and an aluminum radiator keeps things running cool. The chassis is dressed out in the same color theme of green and vanilla as the rest of it. Modern running gear includes a 4-speed automatic transmission sending the power back to a 10 -bolt rear end with 3.42 gears. The front suspension has been upgraded to a coil over setup with rack and pinion steering, disc brakes and a beefy sway bar that really makes this truck handle well. The rubber meets the road through 195/60R15 tires in the front and 235/75R15s in the rear mounted on those sweet looking Eagle alloys. This is a good looking, comfortable and nice driving cruiser. Come on down and check it out.
