Description of 1942 Ford Other Pickups |
NO TITLE I am told this is a 1942 Ford which makes it incredibly rare! Its rough but basically a complete body.Would make an awesome delivery truck, motorcycle hauler, RV, endless possibilities!I believe it is a Siebert conversion, basically a half ton panel with a 3 foot stretch and an extra pair of center doors. At some point it looks like someone did a later V8 conversion. Has typical rust, dents etc, but VERY WORTH rebuilding! Info from a fellow Ebay user:The vehicle modifier for the Ford you are selling was done by a firm by the name of "The Shop of Siebert" from Toledo, Ohio. Its a "Municipal" model ambulance, the largest ambulance they offered. Its built off a short wheel base 1/2 ton commercial delivery chassis (the same for the 1/2 ton light pick-up trucks). The manufacture then stretched the fame/chassis. The red cross-winged window insignia confirms the builder (each ambulance manufacture had their own special window insignias) along with the body panel work. This is a large project, what you see is what goes with it.Fits on 18ft car trailer easily and does roll. DOES NOT RUN AND DRIVE Can remain stored outside here for reasonable amount of time if fully paid for. I will be happy to help with shipping but would prefer local pickup. Would like payment in full within 7 days by some form other then electronic. ALWAYS look at my other LISTINGS for more cars & parts. |
