In 1953, the Ford F-series was treated to all new styling and updated mechanicals. New and modern engines were offered and for the first time, a dome light, arm rest, sun visor, automatic transmission, and radio were on the option sheets. In 1956, the F series received a unique cab design that was offered for just a single year, making them rare and desirable. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this beautiful 1956 Ford F-100 for your consideration. Finished... in a custom shade of yellow that was painted when the truck was restored in 2014. A ton of work was completed cosmetically and mechanically, and the truck is stunning in person. The body is in excellent shape and shows very well. The interior features a new bench seat as well as headliner and a LeCarrara steering wheel. The body was stripped down and the truck was treated with Mustang II front end and rear suspension, 8.8 rear end, new wood bed, new brakes with discs in front and drums in back, new shocks, new radiator, power steering, electronic gauge cluster and much more. The engine is a Ford SCJ 429 cid Cobra Jet that has a four bolt main. The engine was bored 40 over, received mild race cams, magnaflux heads, ported, polished, and balanced valves, new headers, new 600 Holley carb, aluminum manifolds, new billet accessories, and MSD ignition. The transmission was also rebuilt and resealed and the truck rides on new wheels and tires. It also has a new water pump, harmonic balancer, tilt steering wheel, new wiring. A staggering amount of work has been put into this beautiful truck and it runs and drives with the best of them. It fires up right away and is super easy to drive. The current owner has had the truck for the last four years and it is said to have less than 3,200 miles on it since the restoration. It is even plumbed and ready for a Vintage Air kit. This truck is sure to put a smile on your face. To see over 80 photos of this car, including undercarriage please visit our website br/-
