Description of 1965 Ford F-100 NO RESERVE! ORIGINAL FARM TRUCK SURVIVOR PATINA F1! 150PIX+VIDEO |
NO RESERVE!!ON THIS KILLER OLD 1965 FORD F100 FARM TRUCK SURVIVOR. AUCTION ENDS MONDAY JANUARY 14TH AT 7:00PST.THISHAS BEEN A DRY EASTERN WASHINGTON TRUCK MOST OF IT'S LIFE. THE HOT AND DRY EASTERN WA WEATHER HAS AGED, FADED AND BAKED THE PAINT FOR OVER 5 DECADES TO GIVE THIS TRUCK THAT GREAT WORN AND TOUGH PATINA LOOK. THIS TRUCK HAS A UNIQUE AGED LOOK LIKE A OLD LEATHER COAT AND IS THE PERFECT CANDIDATE FOR THAT DROPPED SHOP TRUCK LOOK. IT HAS A KILLER LOOK ABOUT IT THAT JUST TELLS IT'S 54 YEAR OLD STORY SITTING STILL WITH IT'S BEAUTIFUL PATINA WITH THE BAKED AND WORN PAINT ON THE ORIGINAL L WIMBLEDON WHITE PAINT, THE SIGNS OF A MILITARYMEMORIAL MAGNET WORN ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE CAB SO LONG THAT IT HAS BECOME A PERMANENTTATTOOIN THE THE TRUCK, THE OBVIOUS SIGNS OF HARD WORK AND USE WITH DECADES OF SCUFFED AND WORN PAINT, SMALL WHISKEY DINGS AND WORK CREASES AND THE OBVIOUSSIGNS THAT ANOTHER TRUCK HAD TO DONATE IT'S BED, PASSENGER FENDER AND GRILLE SO THIS TRUCK COULD CONTINUE DOWN THE ROAD. THIS SWEET LITTLE FIFTH GEN F-SERIES FORD HAS IMPRESSIVELYALWAYS BEEN A REGISTERED AND REGULARDRIVEN TRUCK ON THE ROAD AND RECEIVED EXCELLENT MAINTENANCETHAT HAS LEFT THIS TRUCK AS A SOLID RUNNING AND DRIVING TRUCK THIS MANY YEARS LATER. PLEASE CHECK OUT THE 140 DETAILED PICS AND THE VIDEO! WE ARE ALWAYS ON THE HUNT FOR CLEAN CLASSICS BUT ESPECIALLY ORIGINAL SURVIVORS AND CLASSIC TRUCKS, SO THIS TRUCK BEING THE PERFECT COMBO OF THE TWO WE HAD TO HAVE IT.THAT OF COURSE IS ALSO MY DOWN FALL AND SOMETIMES I GET GET EXCITED IN THE VISION OF WHAT SOME OF THESE WEATHERED CLASSICS CAN BE WITH A LITTLE WORK AND JUST WANT TO BREATHE THAT NEW LIFE INTO THEM, BUT IT ALSO CAN OFTEN BE CALLED A PROBLEM OR CAR HORDING :) SO WITH FUTURE PLANS ON LARGER PERSONAL PROJECTS I'VE REALIZED I HAVE TO THIN THE HERD ON MY STASH OF SOME VEHICLES AND RESTORATION PROJECT TRUCKS, SO YOU MAY SEE A FEW GREAT CANDIDATES FILTER OUT HERE AND THERE IN THE F-SERIES, C10 AND IH SCOUT DEPARTMENT (MY THREE SOFT SPOTS).IF I DIDN'T ALREADY HAVE A PATINA& DROPPED WHITE 68 STEPSIDE SHOP TRUCK I'D BE KEEPING THIS ONE FOR MY PARTS RUNNER. MY INITIAL PLANS AND VISION FOR THIS TRUCK WAS TO FIX THE SMALL RUSTED AREAS IN THE FLOOR BOARDS WITH NEW PARTS FROM LMC TRUCK PARTS, DO A SIMPLE STATIC 4/6 SUSPENSION DROP, THEN LASTLY ADD SOME LARGER STEEL WHEELS WITH THE ORIGINAL DOG DISH CAPS THIS TRUCK CURRENTLY HAS AND SOME FAT TIRES. IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE PATINA OR WHAT SOME CALL THE SHOP TRUCK LOOK YOU KNOW THIS TRUCK IS THAT PERFECT PLATFORM .SINCE PERFECTION IS NOT THIS TRUCK AND MINOR PAINT FLAWS WILL FALL RIGHT IN WITH THE REST OF THIS TRUCK. I HAVE THROWN A COUPLE PICS IN OF A SOME TRUCKS THAT STARTED LIFE VERY CLOSE TO THIS 65 AND NOW LOOK BEAUTIFUL WITH A KILLER STANCE.DEPENDING ON THE TYPE OF ENTHUSIAST YOU ARE AND WHAT TYPE OF CONDITION YOU PREFER IN A TRUCK THIS SWEET LITTLE F100 CAN HONESTLY BE LEFT ASCETICALLY AS-IS AND DRIVEN FOR DECADES JUST AS IT HAS, BUT I COULDN'T IMAGINE A MORE HONEST OR DESERVING CANDIDATE FOR A PARTIAL SYMPATHETIC RESTORATION TO A FULL FRAME OFF BUILD AS IT IS A TRUE ORIGINAL AND ICONIC CULT CLASSIC!!! THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN IN WASHINGTON STATE IT'S WHOLE LIFE WHERE WE USE NO WINTER SALT ON THE ROADS, SO WE OFTEN HAS SOME OF THE MOST WELL PRESERVED CLASSICS. THIS TRUCK HAS A CLEAN TITLE AND AS ANY OLDER VEHICLE OF THIS ERA HAS A 5 DIGIT ODOMETER THAT SHOWS 59,815 AND ROLLS OVER AT 100K, SO I ASSUMED IT ROLLED OVER AT LEAST ONCE, BUT HAVE NO IDEA OF THE TRUE MILES. IT IS EXEMPT AND WILL SAY THAT ON THE PURCHASE ORDER. PLEASE READ FURTHER AND WATCH THE VIDEOS TO GET THE BEST IDEA OF THIS BEAUTY. BODY-THESE 61-66 FORD F-SERIES HAVE THE BEST BODY LINES THAT ALLOW THEM SELVES TO BE THE CANVAS FOR SO MANY DIFFERENT VISIONS OF CUSTOMIZATION. IN THAT 6 YEAR RUN THEY ONLY HAD VERY SUBTLE CHANGES MAINLY TO THE GRILLE AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN CONSIDERED TO BE ONE OF THE BEST LOOKING TRUCKS EVER PRODUCED WITH THEIR UNMISTAKABLE SMOOTH BODY LINES. IT DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER WHERE YOU COME FROM, WHAT AGE YOU ARE AND IF YOU ARE A CAR PERSON OR NOT, BUT PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS TEND TO BE ATTRACTED TO THE GENTLE LOOK OF THIS ERA. THE AFTERMARKET INDUSTRY AND INTERNET IS FLOODED WITH COMPANIES THAT BUILD RESTORATION AND CUSTOM PARTS FOR THESE TRUCK. THE BODYON THIS TRUCK MAY JUST LOOK LIKE A OLD WORK TRUCK TO SOME, BUT IT IS TRULY WHATDREW ME IN AND THE MOST ATTRACTIVE PART OF THIS TRUCK. I AM AN ORIGINAL LOOK PATINA GUY AS THESE VEHICLES IMPRESS ME TO MAKE IT SO MANY DECADES AND EXPRESS SO MUCH CHARACTER THAT SEPARATES EACH TRUCK BY WHAT IT HAS EXPERIENCED IN LIFE. YOU MAY GET A BARN FIND ORIGINAL PAINT TRUCK THAT ONLY SAW MINOR HOUSEHOLD USE AND HAS MINOR SCRATCHES AND FADING OR YOU GET A TRUCK LIKE THIS THAT HAD IT'S PURPOSE FROM DAY ONE TO BE USED, WORKED AND BASICALLY WAS A DEPENDABLE AND EVERYDAY TOOL TO THE OWNER AND IT HAS SOME BUMPS, MARKS AND SCUFFS AND TELLS A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY AND LOOKS JUST AS COOL TO KNOW IT MADE IT THROUGH ALL THAT TO FINALLY BE HERE TODAY AND APPRECIATED. THE PAINT HAS ALL THE RIGHT LOOK AND AGE MOST OF US ARE LOOKING FOR ON A SURVIVOR TO DRIVE AS IS OR TO CUSTOMIZE INTO THAT DROPPED SHOP TRUCK BUILD. IT HAS A BEAUTIFUL EQUALLY AGED PAINT. I LOVE ORIGINAL PAINT CLASSICS, BECAUSE IT DOESN'T LEAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON WHAT IT HAS SEEN OR NEEDS, LIKE VEHICLESTHAT HAVE HAD MANY REPAINTS LEAVING YOU WONDERING WHAT NIGHTMARE MAY BE LURKING UNDERNEATH. THE DOORS SHUT NICE AND SMOOTH WITH NO DOOR SAG OR HINGE ISSUE, WINDOWS GO UP AND DOWN AND LOCKS STILL WORK WITH THE SAME ORIGINAL KEY THE IGNITION DOES. IT STILL HAS THE VERY HARD TO FIND ORIGINAL 16" STEEL WHEELS AND DOG DISH HUB CAPS STILL BEING ON AFTER 54 YEARS. THERE IS NO CRACKS IN ANY OF THE GLASS, BUT ALL THE EXTERIOR RUBBERS AND SEALS ARE DRY AND AGED. THERE IS A SLIGHT CREASE ON THE FRONT MIDDLE AREA OF THE DRIVER BED SIDE, SOME LITTLE DENTS ON THE FENDERS, THE FRONT BUMPER RATTLES A LITTLE, THE TAILGATE HAS SOME PIN HOLE RUST SPOTS ON THE INNER AND OUTERBOTTOM SECTIONS. THE BED IS OVERALL VERY SOLID WITH JUST SURFACE RUST ON THE SIDE PANELS AND THE INNER FLOOR PANS HAVE JUST YOUR TYPICAL AREA NEAR THE FRONT BULKHEAD AND A COUPLE SMALL SPOTS IN THE BACK CORNERS. THERE IS RUST IN THE BOTTOM REAR OF THE PASSENGER FENDER, IN THE FRONT BOTTOM EDGE OF HOOD, BUT IN NO OTHER SPOTS OF THE HOOD, SOME SPOTS IN THE INNER LOWER AREA OF THE CORE SUPPORT, A FEW SPOTS IN THE FLOOR PANS UNDER THE RUBBER MAT ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CAB, BUT THE ROCKERS, DOORS AND CAB MOUNTS LOOK NICE. ALL THE PLASTIC LIGHT LENSES ARE FADED AND HAVE AN AGED LOOK, BUT TO ME FIT RIGHT IN WITH THE TRUCK.THIS CLASSIC CLEARLY SHOWS IT'S AGE WITH 54 YEARS UNDER IT'S BELT, BUT THIS TRUCK IS HARD TO FIND AND IT IS TRULY A ONE OF A KIND TRUCKTHAT T ME IT ADDS THE DESIRE AND VALUE OF THIS TRUCK! INTERIOR-INSIDE IT IS ALL ORIGINAL AND OBVIOUSLY HAS SEEN SOME AGE AND WEAR, BUT AS MENTIONED ABOVE THERE ARE A TON OF PLACES LIKE LMC TRUCK PARTS AND OTHER PLACES ONLINE THAT SELL PARTS FOR THIS TRUCK AND ARE VERY AFFORDABLE. WITH A NEW VINYL FLOOR MAT OR CARPET, RESTORED SEAT COVER AND NEW DOOR SEALS THIS INTERIOR WOULD LOOK INCREDIBLE AND RUN UNDER $600. THE DOORS BOTH LOCK PROPERLY, OPEN EASILY FROM THE INSIDE, SIDE GLASS ROLLS DOWN SMOOTHLY, WING WINDOWS OPEN AND CLOSE, BUT ONLY THE PASSENGERDOOR STILL HAS THE LOC, SO YOU WILL GET SOME WIND NOISE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. ALL GAUGES WORK PROPERLY AND STILL LIGHT UP AT NIGHT, THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH AND WIPERS WORK AND AMAZINGLY THE CARD BOARD GLOVE BOX LINER IS IN PLACE SHOWING THIS HAS BEEN A DRY TRUCK. THE ORIGINAL VINYL FLOOR MAT IS STILL WITH THE TRUCK BUT, HAS SOME CRACKS AND YOU HAVE TO BE GENTLY WITH IT WHEN YOU ROLL IT UP. THIS TRUCK CAME OPTIONED WITH SEAT-BELTSFOR 3, THE ORIGINAL SEAT IS STILL NICE AND COMFORTABLE AND LOOKS RESPECTABLE WITH THE COVER, BUT THE ORIGINAL MATERIALIS COMING APART AND WORN. OVERALL THIS TRUCKS INTERIOR HAS SURVIVED THE LAST 5 DECADES WELL AND JUST LIKE THE OUTSIDE IT COULD USE SOME LOVE OR LOOKS PERFECTLY PRESENTABLE FOR A OLD TRUCK AND COULD BE LEFT AS-IS. MECHANICAL-THIS 65 IS PRETTY MUCH ALL ORIGINAL DRIVE TRAIN WITH THE BULLET PROOF 240 INLINE 6 CYLINDER, BACKED BY THE MANUAL 4-SPEED TRANSMISSION.THIS LITTLE F100 ALWAYS FIRES UP NO MATTER HOW LONG IT SITS WITH NO BATTERY DRAW AND HAS A MANUAL CHOKE TO HELP ON COLD STARTS. I HAVE DRIVEN THIS TRUCK FOR A GOOD PERIOD OF TIME AND HAVE HAD IT IN TOWN, ON BACK ROADS AND ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT HANDLES ITSELF VERY GOOD. IT DRIVES DOWN THE ROAD NICE AND STRAIGHT WITH NO RATTLES, DOESN'T BOG DOWN, SMOKE, HESITATE OR OVER HEAT. IT RUNSVERY QUIET AND SMOOTH WITH A RESPONSIVE THROTTLE. IT UP SHIFTS AND DOWN SHIFTS THROUGH ALL 4 GEARS GOOD, GOES INTO REVERSE NICELY, NO CLUTCH SLIPPING, HAS A TIGHT AND PROPER H-PATTERN SHIFTING FORKS. THE CLUTCH GRABS A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE FLOOR THEN I TYPICALLY LIKE, BUT NEVER GRINDS, FADES OR GIVES ISSUES. IT BRAKES AND STEERS NICE AND TIGHT WITH NO NOISES, SHAKING, PLAY OR PULLING. THERE IS NO COOLING ISSUES AND THIS TRUCK DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE ANY BIG FLUID LEAKS ALONG WITH NO EXHAUST LEAKS. AS MENTIONED ABOVE THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A DRIVEN AND REGISTERED TRUCK AND SHOWS SIGNS OF GOOD REGULAR MAINTENANCEWITH NEW LOOKING PARTS FOUND THROUGHOUT THE TRUCK. THE BRAKES WERE DON'T NOT TOO LONG AGO AND THIS IS ACTUALLY IS A DEPENDABLE RUNNING AND DRIVING TRUCK. NO RESERVE! WE HOPE IT GOES TO A LOVING AND APPRECIATED HOME THAT WILL APPRECIATEAND RESPECT WHAT THIS TRUCK HAS SEEN AND DONE! WHILE I KNOW EVERYONE'S OPINION IS DIFFERENT THIS TRUCK TO ME IS EVERYTHING AN OLD TRUCK SHOULD BE, WHILE IT HAS SOME MINOR FLAWS SHOWING ITS JOURNEY AND STORY, IT DOESN'T ACT LIKE A MODERN TRUCKBUT IT STOPS PEOPLE, GETS COMPLIMENTS AND STARTS CONVERSATIONS WITH STRANGERS . THIS TRUCK FULLFILS THAT OLD TRUCK NEED AND FEELING MOST ARE LOOKING FO, BUT IF YOU HAVE NOT EVER OWNED OR DRIVEN A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DOSIMPLY LOOK AT THE AMOUNT OF MODERN INVENTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED SINCE THIS TRUCK WAS BORN AND HOW FAR OTHER ITEMS HAVE DEVELOPED OVER THE PAST FEW DECADESAND KEEP IN MIND NEW VEHICLES HAVE THE BOXES TO CHECK FOR COMFORT OPTIONS LIKE LEATHER, HEATED SEATS, NAVIGATION ETC AND VEHICLES OF THIS ERA LOADED MEANT GETTING POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, A BASIC AM STEREO AND A SPARE TIRE :) THIS MAY HELP TO AIM YOUR EXPECTATIONS ON OWNING A VEHCLE OF THIS AGE. The older the car, the harder it is to define the condition of the vehicle. Most of our vehicles are specialty vehicles or are 15+ years old, and usually trucks. Because of this, it is very difficult to describe each vehicle to everyone's satisfaction. Based on the bidder'spersonal experience, some bidders will be overly pleased with my description and pictures, and others may feel that I fell short. I postthese auctions based on how I want to see auctions when I'm buying, keeping in mind what I look for, and I try to put your eye's to what I can see and touch. Please help me by asking all questions and letting me know if other pictures are wanted. If you do not see a pic or description of a item or a area on the truck please do not assume anything and ask me about the specifics your a needing or for more pics and i will post every question asked by members so all potential bidders can see. Every car is available for inspection and i personally drive each vehicle before listing it andIf anything does not work properly I will let you know. Of course I amonly human and these are mechanical creatures and these are usedvehicles, so please keep this in mind when bidding |
