This a one of a kind 1931 A400 convertible sedan Model A that has been meticulous restored to have results in a Model A that is a pure pleasure to drive. This is a very special A400 and will take a special person to asperate the detail that was given to this build. This 1931 A400 sold originally in Maine and was their until the mid 40's where it was then sold and moved to California in the town of Firebaugh and then was purchased in 2006 by the current owner and started restoration in that year and completed in late 2009. This is some of the details that when into this project, Motor is a Diamond Model B block with counter balanced crank drilled for full pressure oil system with Crower rods all inserted bearings, work done by Taylor engine with corvette pistons all stainless steel valves with keepers with solid one piece valve guides. special 80 LB oil pump with filter system Brumfield Hi comp head, Mallory Dist with 6 blade fan, COG 12 volt Alternator, Adjustable lifters, 4 point rubber motor mounts, Dan McCurtchion timing gears special front timing cover with adjustable thrust Adjustment for perfect accurate consistent running timing for perfect gear mesh. Hasting rings Leakless water pump. Transmission a 1939 Ford synchro mesh with Lincoln gears with 1942 Lincoln closed drive line with Borg Warner overdrive system. Rear end with 4:12 gear ratio. Front end using 32 axle with 48 spindles. Lincoln Bendix brakes front, 48 Ford rear brake system all above items totally rebuilt and machined. 17 inch Ford spoke rims powder coated with Firestone 5.25/5.50x17 tires. Specially made 17" beauty rings and new Ford Hub caps. Ford F100 Steering box with all new parts and new steering wheel, new Electric windshield wiper and blade. All dash and moldings done in beautiful Burl Walnut wood, Has the Aristocrat instrument board with water temp and oil pressure. The eyebrows and dash inserts are real walnut burl. The top upholstery replaced with Lebaron Bonney co and installed at their factory and comes with boot for when top down. New fine fined Radiator and hoses with thermostat, rebuilt original Sparton horn, Directional signals, cowl lights provide front with amber lens. Dual side Mirrors, metal trunk and rack, original bumpers all re chromed. original License plates 7G 230. Paint is Washington Blue and belt molding in Riviera blue with black fenders all in lacquer. Wheels are powder coated in Tacoma cream. Car has all new carpets front and back and has real bud vases and yes this car has the original ash trays.
