Description of 1940 Ford Other

Body has not been cut up or altered! For auction is 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. without a doubt a top 5 must have for any hot rod lover. This coupe is being offered as it was when I purchased it with the exception of the rear suspension and steering arms. I bought the car with intentions of building it but I have way too many projects in the shop and don't know when I can get to it so I am passing it on. The body is sitting on it's solid original number matching frame. Serial number is visible on frame and matches body and the clear Indiana title. I loosely installed new chassis engineering rear suspension specific for a 40 with a nova rear axle. The front wishbone was split at some time. The front axle has disc brake brackets and rotors installed. I also have a set of calipers that will go with the car. We just installed steering arms along with a temporary steering link to make it easier to move around. Front floors are cut out but lip around the outside looks solid and there is plenty to install new floor. The trunk floor was replaced at some time. I do have running boards not pictured and a few misc pieces that go with the car but no additional big ticket items. The car does not have rear fenders. Doors have suicide hinges installed but original hinge mounts and door jambs are unaltered so can go back by simply putting stock hinges back on. Drip rails have been filled with bondo. up to you leave it smooth or remove filler for stock appearance. Patch panels were also previously installed to repair rust. Patches can be seen in photos. Photos of car on trailer were when I brought it home it is now a roller with sheet metal hung for transport. This is a very buildable car. Please look and photos and ask any questions before bidding.
