The Eleanor was made famous in Gone in 60 Seconds and has become a cultural icon ever since. It is based on a 1967 Shelby GT500 fastback. Why This Car Is Special This car is one of the nicest builds we've ever seen here at Skyway Classics. No expense spared, and every nut and bolt is either new or refinished on this car. It is as clean underneath as it is on top. It has classic looks with modern steering, suspension and brakes. Mechanical Starting with the engine, this Mustang has a built 351 Windsor which has been bored and stroked to 427 cubic inches. It is topped off with RHS aluminum heads, air gap intake, Holley carburetor, ceramic coated headers and MSD ignition. A serpentine belt system has been added with billet brackets and pullies. Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes will bring this pony car to a stop in a hurry and rack and pinion steering making tight turns a breeze. An aluminum radiator with electric fan keep this big V8 nice and cool. The powerhouse is backed up by a 5-speed manual transmission that runs to a Ford 9" rear end with adjustable coil over shocks. The front end has the shock towers deleted and is also running adjustable coil over shocks and tubular control arms. This car drives more like a 2019 Mustang than a 1968. Interior The interior is all new and is a great blend of old and new. The bucket seats up front fit nicely and match the rear seat and door panels as well as original seats would. The dash is transformed into a Shelby with stainless accents, Shelby badging and a Shelby style steering wheel. An AM/FM/CD player has been installed cleanly into the dash and seat belts have been added for more safety. AutoMeter gauges fit nicely in the dash and give an accurate read of the important engine numbers. Behind the rear seat a custom panel has been made to house speakers for the CD player to surround you with your favorite tunes. Shelby Cobra floor mats have been added to finish off this clean and crisp interior nicely. Exterior The Eleanor body kit used on this car is a high end one with molded in accents. The hood is steel and the quarter panel scoops are part of the panel. These are not cheap bolt on parts. The bumpers have been painted to match and almost disappear from a distance. Shelby badging, quick fill fuel cap and sport mirrors complete the look from the outside. Foose wheels in 17" up front and 18" out back look great and help make this Eleanor Mustang look good from every angle. Conclusion This car is as nice as any you will find. Take a good look at the photos of the underside and under the hood to really understand how well this car was built. So, please call or text at 734-323-9260 or 727-688-1148. We also finance!
