In 1995, Denice Halicki decided to produce an eponymous 2000 remake of her late husband's (Toby Halicki) original 1974
"Gone in 60 Seconds" movie.
Both movies shared plot similarities, a crew of thieves ordered to steal ~50 cars and deliver them to the Long Beach, California docks.
The "Eleanor" name applied to the feature car in the second film, a Pepper Gray Metallic 1967 Mustang Custom Fastback.
This revived the cult popularity, and to this day the "Eleanor" Mustang is on the "MUST OWN" shortlist for every collector car enthusiast.
In fact, one of the actual studio Eleanor Mustangs from the 2000 film, sold on May 18, 2013 at Mecum's Indianapolis Auction for $1,100,000
