GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 Hardtop Sports Coupe. For the 4th generation of the Fairlane, Ford moved the line to a mid-size offering to compete with the GM A-body. While the platform produced several different variations, the Hardtop Sport Coupe here was an exciting edition to enter the muscle car fray. The Fairlane is powered by a 5.0 v8 paired with a 5 speed manual transmission. The car runs and handles very well.... According to the owner, there is only 1,899 miles on the engine since it was built. Highlights include disc brakes, high output alternator, Edelbrock carburetor, small cam, aluminum radiator, electric cooling fan, 2 ½ inch dual exhaust, hydraulic clutch, CD player, GT Grant steering wheel, rear center console. The car comes with shop manuals and a large stack of receipts. Cosmetically the car shows very well both inside and out. Any way you cut it, the Fairlane is an incredible machine and a valuable piece of American automotive history.
