Description of 1967 Ford Mustang |
1967 Ford Mustang GTA S-Code Fastback Project Pictured for sale is a 1967 Ford Mustang GTA S-code fastback 7T02S252XXX. It is originally from Virginia and is a very solid and complete project. The original factory color combination for this car was the very attractive Silver Frost Metallic with a black interior (see last pic.). The expensive and hard-to-find parts needed for restoration are included which makes the restoration process that much easier. The structure is quite solid and has been preserved in storage for many years. It appears to have been last licensed and on the road in the late 90's as indicated by dated license plates and window stickers. Structure:-All front frame rails, shock towers, rear frame rails, are 100% Original Ford, solid metal (which is difficult to find nowadays).-Floors are all original with red oxide primer underneath and quite solid overall but will require some limited patches or replacement in some areas as most Mustangs do.-Overall structure of Mustang is extremely straight without any indication of previous accident damage.-Appears to have all original body panels that will require body work as would be required in any restoration.-Trunk floor is completely solid and pans still have original silver paint. Mechanicals:-Period-correct drivetrain (complete 390 and C6 transmission although no attempt to start it has been made).-The engine turns over freely by hand and will likely need to be rebuilt.-Retains a V8 suspension including the original 9" Ford rear with the drain plug.-Transmission linkage is not connected but will roll and steer easily for transport. Miscellaneous:-All glass and stainless trim is present and intact.-Full interior — seats, fiberglass, and trim is included, useable, and in place.-GTA specific items such as fog lights, wiring, reinforced rear floor pans for dual exhaust, along with original tac dash, etc. are all included and in place.-No keys are present.-A nice, solid, original car that is all-together and complete makes an ideal start towards a high-end restoration. Specifics:-Clear and transferable title.-VINs on fender aprons and door tags are present and match title.-Original Buck tag present on fender apron that designates P10 GTA option.-Overall a great start to a restoration project sure to pay dividends once completed.-Will assist any carrier with loading vehicle for transport.-Mustang is located in Chicago, Illinois 60656. I do not need to sell this car and will restore it if the reserve is not met. At the moment, I have too many projects and am trying to free up some space. I reserve the right to sell the vehicle locally. Please watch for additional Mustangs to be listed in the near future. Please ask if any questions arise or additional photos are needed. The 67' Fastbacks are becoming difficult to find in the shape that this car is in. It is even harder to find one that is an original and complete S-code GTA. The last photo shows how this Mustang looked in original condition. A conscientious and detailed restoration makes this an upwards of $80-85,000 investment-grade classic. |
