1929 Ford Shay Roadster. Sold new by Ford in 1979. It has around 17,650 miles on it since new. If your not familiar with Shay Motors they made the 1929 Ford Roadsters and sold them through the Ford dealerships in 79/80. They used off the shelf parts from Ford and carried a 12 month/12000 mile warranty. The engine is a 2.3 Ford with a four speed. It has rack and pinion steering and a Mustang II front end from the factory. It has an improved performance shifter. It has had some custom work done to it. It has five lug hubs on the rear and rotors up front. It is a midnight purple color that almost looks black. The Flowmaster exhaust sounds really good. The top is a Black canvas top and was new this year. I also have the side curtains new in a box, but they need to be fitted. The top and doors alone would be $1500.00. I have put larger headlights from the 30's on it that have new high powered bulbs. The chrome on them is faded, but it gives it a better vintage look to me. The tail lights are new "Duo" and have the stainless "stop" plates in them. You will get the original headlights painted purple and the original tail lights which are boring. Its got some wear, but is a nice ride. Everything works but the gas gauge. Has a good stereo with a remote. It is titled as a 1929 Ford. When the car was new, it had a paper sticker with the vin number on it. The State of Washington took that vin number, and assigned it with their tag as a 1929 Ford. I just wanted to let you know how it is titled. I will do all I can to help load it, but shipping is on you. I would recommend enclosed shipping. I will put a "Buy Now" on it if you do not want to wait for the end of the auction which is the minimum I am looking for. I do have some interest in it locally and I reserve the right to sell it locally if offers accepted. Fun car. Have fun and bid often! No reserve!
