Description of 1979 Ford Other ESS

This is maybe not the rarest car on the Planet, but it is very unusual to see one this nice and this low of miles. It was purchased from an Estate and was sitting in a back garage on their property for many years. The owner had passed away, no Title or paperwork came with the sale. The car now has a clean Michigan Title and has 23,759 original miles, I have nothing to prove this but the fact that the car is original paint, and in amazing condition.. The paint has a few lower small stone chips here and there, but there are no dings or dents, and the paint has a very nice shine for a 40-year-old paint job. The Pinto ESS (European Sports Sedan) was available in the U.S. in 1979 up to October, they were only built 2 years 1979-1980. They came with a 2300 4 cylinder, factory tach, Blacked out trim, and dual sport mirrors, sporty Bucket seats, floor-shifted automatic transmission, sport wheels, sport steering wheel. power steering, front disc brakes, drum rear. The car's interior is as close to perfect as you'd expect for a garage kept 23,000 car. you can tell the past owner took pride in his or her Sport Pinto. Everything works on the car, runs fantastic, brakes are also, tires are older but in excellent condition, all interior and exterior lights work, as well as the turn signals, bright lights, door buzzer when the door is open. The car is as rust free as you will find, the underside is truly amazing, no rust, no scale, and the body is also, the only minor issues are behind the rear tires at the very bottom corner of the quarter panels where rock chips broke the paint and has surface rust shown in pictures, and a small area where the quarter panel meets the rocker on the drivers side and that seam has minor issue there, also shown in a picture, other then that, you won't find a better original low milage Pinto. It also has it's original Goodyear Polyglas spare tire, jack assembly, the back rubber mat in the hatch area looks like new. I can't say enough good about this car, it truly is a time capsule.
