Description of 1948 Ford F-100 |
For your consideration is this very unusual 48 Ford F-1 panel truck! These rare trucks make great advertising pieces for your business. motorcycle haulers. parts haulers. or whatever your imagination leads to! This is a restorable truck that came from eastern Kansas last summer! There is some rust in the truck as can be seen in the pictures. it is a rolling project! The flathead engine that is in the truck is a good 47-48 truck engine that I installed in it. The engine is not currently running but was when removed from a driving 35 Ford car. The owner of that car didn’t want the engine. I bought it from him for this truck! The truck is a major project. what is shown is what I have with the truck. I have a new frame mount gas tank and rubber floor mat for a 53-56 Ford truck that will be included with the sale. the new owner may be able to modify them to fit this truck! I will also include a good set of hood trim. hood hinges. headlight doors. & an original instrument cluster! There are some other loose parts that I have gathered up for the truck that will go with it! There is a Ranger seat in the truck. I do not have the original bucket seats however the bracket for the passenger seat is still in the truck. I do not have a title to this truck; all that I have is a bill of sale for the new owner. The truck has great patina on it now. clear coat it. get it running and drive it as is or built it as nice as you choose to! It is a great platform for anyone’s imagination! I try to give an accurate description of the vehicle. if you have any questions please ask. If you need more pictures I will get them. It is a project vehicle that will need to be towed. It is being sold as-is where-is. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours. the balance in 7 days. The truck should be removed within two weeks unless prior arrangements have been made. I will work with the new owner as best as I can. |
