Description of 1971 Ford Ranchero 429 CJ, J-Code Squire |
1971 Ranchero 429 J-Code Cobra Jet Squire 1971 Ranchero 429 J-Code Cobra Jet Squire with a numbers matching engine. Freshly rebuilt. It has about 250 miles on it so far. Runs and drives nice. And, when you take it to the car show, you likely aren't going to pull up next to another one ! 1 of 20 according to the Marti report ! About one 429 CJ Ranchero sells per year combining Barrett Jackson AND Mecum sales! A fun, investment, muscle car that you can take to Home Depot. It runs and drives nice. I'd keep it if I had garage space. It's stored in Lake Havasu AZ, about 1.5 hours south of Las Vegas: nice and dry. I'd like this to go to someone who appreciates rare, classic Fords. This car has the Holley 780. According to history, only the Drag Pak cars were supposed to have the 780 Holley. But this is the second 429 CJ Ranchero I've owned with a Holley and the matching intake manifold...history needs to be revised. The paint is bright and wood-grained vinyl looks good as you're walking up. Then some blemishes if you have a fine toothed comb. While I've been going over the car to make it a nice Driver again, it's not a 100 points Pebble Beach car. Overall, it's consistent with age. It's an As-Is sale. Good luck bidding. The mileage is listed at 120k, for the car. The engine was recently rebuilt, so it's has about 250 miles.
