Description of 1963 Ford F-100 |
> Please read entire add. I am selling this locally and may remove this auction at any time. For auction is a 1963 Ford f100 stepside. This is a running. driving. rat rod project. I will continue to repair this truck with the parts I have. but willnot be spending any additional on it (I have a ton of parts still). The truck is mechanically sound. but cosmetically challenged. The vehicle was missing the VIN tag. so it was titled and given a NC antique # to replace the vin #. > > The body. cab. and bed are exceptionally solid. No cancer rust. but some surface rust. New hood hinges. All glass is present but a few panes are scratched. most notably the windshield and passengers window. The exterior is painted flat yellow and was a backyard paint job. For some reason. the previous owner painted black and red stripes on all fenders. The undercarriage is very clean with extremely solid mounts. The bed was an lmc purchase a few years back. so is pretty new (still have receipts from previous owner). This is a project. so the truck still needs body work if you want to pursue this as a hot rod. However. nbsp; it's perfect for a rat truck. > > The interior is functional. nbsp; but ugly as everything was hand painted black and yellow. The bench seat is not original and ugly. but extremely comfortable. The floor pans are in excellent condition. The drivers door lock is inop. but the passenger side is working. Turn signals and headlights are working. but brake lights are not (replaced switch. but has wiring issue that I will eventually repair). > > The suspension is 100% stock With ibeam and Leaf springs up front and springs in the rear. The rear differential is a ford 9". which is not original and still needs the e-brakes set up. I do not know the gear ratio. The gas tank is still located in the cab. The exhaust is header pipes run out to glass packs. It sounds great. nbsp; but has a few leaks that can be easily remedied. The braking system is still 4 wheel. manual. drum brakes. > > The motor is a built 302 out of a mid-70's mustang. with a comp cam per the previous owner. There are no receipts. but the motor has a lot of power. MSD ignition set up and a C4 automatic transmission. very large Edelbrock carburetor. > > ***Known issues (will work on these as time becomes available). > needs cosmetics > E-brakes not set up > brake light wiring > l/r wheel bearing needed > Fuel sending unit (have part) > needs new speedo cable (works but off a few mph) > Fan works. but heat doesn't. > > ***** > I have a ton of extra parts that will all come with the vehicle. There are too many to list. but some of the more expensive items include the firewall material and floor insulation. There's an extra ford alternator and regulator (both new). some spark plugs. gaskets and miscellaneous items. The painless wiring harness is included ($599. 99 have receipt). |
