HISTORICAL BACKGROUND...Ford’s F-Series has proven to be one of the world’s most successful vehicle series. Since 1977, the F-Series has been the best-selling truck line in the US. And since 1986, the F-Series has also been the best-selling vehicle in the US! The first generation of Ford’s “F-Series” trucks ran from 1949-1952. This generation is well-known for using the “Flathead” engines exclusively…and without an automatic transmission option. The 1951 and 1952 models benefitted from re-designing of the instrument panel, and the introduction of the Five Star Cab. This example was assembled in Ford’s Atlanta plant…so it has not ventured very far from home! MAINTAINED vs. RESTORED…There is a definite charm evident in a classic truck such as this, which has been lovingly maintained through the decades and never totally restored. Part of this charm, are imperfections such as those evident throughout the image set (and also pointed out in the last images shown), which remind us that the truck was a tool meant to be used. QUESTIONS?...after reviewing ALL the images and reading the entire description, please call Jim Murphy if you have any questions: 706-429-7924 OPERATIONAL REPORT:This truck has been enjoyed for leisurely rides around town and along country roads – where it is very well-suited and enjoyable to drive. Because it has not been used for long distances or at interstate highway speeds, transport to its new owner is highly recommended. As with almost all vehicles of this vintage, not everything is 100% operational - such as one horn trumpet (the other works), passenger’s side wiper, lighter, and temperature gauge. The temp-gauge will read “Hot” when the engine is not really over-heating. This has been verified by the under-hood, hand-held electronic temperature reading shown in the images…and taken after full operating temperature was attained. PAYMENT DETAILS: Payment is due within 2-business days of auction's end via Bank to Bank wire transfer. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERSare welcome, but MUST adhere to the SAME Payment Terms detailed above and also make all arrangements for the pick-up and importation of the Vehicle into the Buyer's country. ABOUT ME:I am an avid Classic Car enthusiast. After retiring from 30 years of Sales & Marketing in a Global 100 company, I began buying and selling Classic Cars and Collectibles as a collector and for friends and clients. This classic belongs to a fellow classic car enthusiast. Please Note:as of this date, we have had over 3,000 eBay transactions with 100% Positive Feedback...this includes the sale of many Classic Cars to Buyers all over the world, including Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Australia, Russia, Canada, Japan and throughout the United States. IMPORTANT DOCUMENT & CONDITION OF SALE REMARKS:Bill of Sale and current Georgia Registration documents will be provided to the Buyer. NOTE: the State ofGeorgiadid not issue auto titles back in 1952 - and so they do not do so for those vehicles even today! Instead, the registration card has a "Non-Title" notation and also serves as the owner’s legal proof of ownership. Rest assured that every state must respect all other state's motor vehicle laws, and that the car can be successfully registered and insured in any state. This Vehicle is sold strictly as-shown and on a final as-is basis without any warranties expressed or implied due to age. Even the very best restored classics will require additional maintenance and service - often without warning. Therefore, please expect to continue - as the new owner and caretaker of this classic - to perform additional maintenance and repairs. We hope that you are able to enjoy the truck without the need for an immediate repair - but understand that this indeed could be found necessary. As seasoned collectors know, every time you start (or attempt to start) a classic vehicle is a new experience...it could be a wonderful ride, or a new repair to undertake. That is the nature of the hobby, and this truck (or any classic car) should not be purchased if you are not prepared for this reality. We have presented the truck accurately to the best of our ability, but oversights are possible. Therefore -beforethe auction's end - bidders are welcome to examine the vehicle in person. All sales are final. Because this truck is only lightly driven locally - and is untested for long trips or interstate highway speeds - we highly recommend that it be transported to its new locale. Finally, we remind you to be sure to review ALL the images and ALL the captions for this classic, on the rightbecause - in addition to this description - they relate important information too!
