Attention California Buyers: This vehicle has an SB100 voucher which means no smog check.....ever. It follows the vehicle. There are significantly more CA DMV employees than the 500 vouchers allowed each year. When the clerk at the DMV and their supervisor have no idea what you're talking about or what to do with your paperwork, it creates a lot of work. After several months we finally hired a hot rod builder to help us with the process. He knew how it should be done and so could explain it step-by-step to each DMV employee what to do. It took 8 months to get this smog exemption. Why is that important to a California buyer? It means this vehicle is registered correctly as a modern build and not incorrectly registered as a 1939 Ford. With California sending personnel to car shows to check registration accuracy for custom cars, you can relax knowing this car will pass scrutiny. Power windows were not listed in the description but the windows do have glass. The window motors are not strong enough to roll the windows up and we never had that modified.
